I agree. I’m not really concerned about the virus itself, I’m honestly not, I’m more concerned about the after effect. So little is known about it, on top of “underlying health conditions”. Like for me, I think I’m as healthy as I can be for a 42 year old smoker, but I don’t have any clue on what’s really going on within myself to be confidant enough to dismiss the virus altogether. Hell, I might think I’m good but **** around and get Corona and end up finding out I have some disastrous underlying health condition I never suspected but it was only heightened due to COVID and it’s going to eventually be curtains.

this is why I can't understand why people like Clay Travis keep shouting about the death rate being relatively low and saying "see, it's not that bad!" he also went on a rant about how schools should be open because the risk of transmission in children is very low, completely forgetting about all the teachers, administrators, staff etc it takes to run a school.

People like him view the situation from a standpoint of total self-interest. As long as he and anyone really close to him don’t get COVID, they think we” all need to just live with the fact some people are going to get sick and die.

Anyone who’s pushing the concept of an “acceptable” death rate is not someone I need to hear from on COVID. That’s why I change the station if I hear even a promo for Travis’ show come on.
