Doc's solid. His record justifies him getting another gig soon after losing one. Plenty of coaches stick around with fewer results.

Aside from his championship season with the Celtics, his post-season record is not actually that good. He’s good at getting less talented teams to overachieve, but has not done much with teams that have had a lot of talent.

agreed. consider your options though. can't just create a coach out of thin air.

Very valid point. That’s why I gave Doc a lot of leeway for a long time. Figured we couldn’t find anyone who would for sure be better. But now I’m ready to take the gamble on anyone.

Become a Lakers fan.....

Doc is overrated but I'm OK with the hire in comparison to Lue, MDA, Kidd. Was intrigued by Jay Wright because of Philly connection, but saw no reason for him to leave his cushy gig at 'Nova.

I'm a "swing for the fences" type guy, been tracking following names. Ime Udoka, Charles Lee, Jordi Fernandez, Mark Daigneault and Jamahl Mosley.

Good thing the Sixers don’t have talent :emoji_hugging:

Never, man. I‘m a Clippers fan for life regardless of how disappointing and frustrating it may be. I’m just wired that way.

who would be an ideal coach for you?

I would have preferred new coaches as well, but given the mentality of ownership, that was never going to happen.

Excellent question. I don’t know there are any “ideal” candidates out there (or if there are, I’m just not aware of who they might me).

At this point, I just think the team needs a new voice and I trust the front office, so I’ll likely be fine with whoever they hire - unless it’s MDA. Don’t see him as a good fit.

how many games into the season until KD and kyrie boycotts the media?
