I was with you until this. You just couldn’t help yourself

That last one is real... Melo thought he had it on lock... LolThis influx of Kobe stories this year.... Some of these honestly sound made up.
I do... He was launching from the parking lot trying to keep LeBron in the game but he quit on the team early ..And? What’s that have to do with what I said?
No one remembers it, but in the 3rd quarter of game 7 Golden State was pulling away, up 8, and Jr goes on a 8-0 run himself to tie it up.
Same season the Kobe had the Lakers go 42-40, and him selfishly and infamously blow a 3-1 lead by literally quitting on his team to prove a point. ***** was more concerned about winning a scoring title then.
Tell the entire story.
Lol..stop it 5. Team had kwame brown, smush, radmanavic, Chris mihm...
Kobe won all 42 of those wins solo (so to speak)
And was lucky to ever go up 3-1 on that sun's suam to begin with.
Whatever his motive for 'giving up'...worked. got him some able bodies. And he immediately propelled to the finals for 3 yrs straight.
Kobe was about wins. That can't even be debated. On those rosters, only way to win was to black out on your own. Looks great on stat sheets..but it's a pain in the *** to sustain a successful record. Just look at his sons going through the same **** now.
Y’all got y’all seasons mixed up. (I think lol) Without looking iirc in 07 the lakers went 42-40 but there was no 3-1 loss, they simply lost in 5 to Phoenix and he demanded a trade like two months after that
I remember smush Parker in the Times after game 4 despite the loss saying he was “having fun again”
You right. Nash and them got them boys out there with the swiftness in 5. Kobe & Prime Lamar Odom were no match.. Barbosa was cooking Kobe. Averaged 21ppg on him .
Man, that PHX team was significantly deeper. They had four players in double figures. The Lakers 3rd leading scorer was Kwame Brown at 8.6 per game. Hell James Jones was putting in 7PPG as their 7th leading scorer off the bench in 19MPG which matches the Lakers fourth leading scorer, starter, Luke Walton.
As mentioned earlier, Kobe did need more help and the next year and he got it and look at the results. But to act like just because he won a scoring title because he’s selfish and didn’t care about winning is a revisionist history.
@KHUFUI had to turn the brightness all the way up just to tell that was Draymond
But I've been on his hill for ages, statistically speaking Kobes career does not compare to where he's placed on the all time list (2-4) but I'm aware it's not a binary thing.I think it’s a Bleacher Report article but still interesting for those who like analytics.

He didn’t care about winning when he took 3 shots in the second half of a close out game

That was in 2006 and they were down 17 after 1 and 15 at the half. If Kobe goes full ape****, y’all would be in here calling him a selfish ball hog. He got more help which is what he wanted, and quite frankly needed, a few seasons later and it resulted in three Finals berths, two championships and two FMVPs so to have his performance on a horrid team as an indictment against him seems like taking the hate too far.
