Wow gotta give em props for that Huddelsfield got around the press well.

Bravo has to save that though letting goals in like that is why he's been relegated to being the cup keeper now

STERLING TO SANE!!!!

Great work from Sterling and great from Sane to crash down at the goal like that.

Penalty to City. Wish Yaya was on the pitch i'd be 100% confident it will be converted.

Sporting Director Hamlett Discusses New Role, Opportunities for RBNY

Newly installed New York Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett is aware of the opportunity and challenges that lie ahead of him in his role.

"For me, it’s an enormous responsibility and I’m prepared for this challenge," Hamlett said on Wednesday during a call with media members.

Hamlett discussed how he and Head Coach Jesse Marsch plan to work together in compiling the roster and managing it throughout the season.

"I’ve had a professional relationship with Jesse for over 20 years. He’s going to report to me, but I think the most important thing is that it’s a partnership," Hamlett said. "We sit down, we have discussions, we put things on the table and at the end, we make the right decision for what’s best for the club, the organization and the team. The key thing for us is that there’s always communication."

As sporting director, Hamlett said he will rely on the resources within the organization and those available to him as part of Red Bull Global Soccer.

"We spent some time in Austria and Germany and really got to see the terms of the synergy that we have with the organization," he said. "I feel confident that all my experience really puts me into a position to lead this club to a championship and to be a model franchise in MLS."

Hamlett also mentioned the team is open to adding another Designated Player if the right opportunity presents itself, he's excited for the emergence of Tyler Adams with the United States U-20 Men's National Team and creating a atmosphere of stability around the organization.

"This is an incredible opportunity for me. I am ready for this challenge," Hamlett said. "Life is all about challenges. I look at this as a big challenge and big opportunity. I look forward to taking this club to new heights."

I like the direction NYRB is heading in. I do want to see Adams get more playing time but my concern is making up for what Dax contributed to the team
