Ro ain't like them others... He might co-sign with some propaganda like posts here & there dranking that United kool-aid but he doesn't spit that venom like the others... Although I took Tommy in a comical way, overall he was cool in my book (not that it matters much whether he was cool or not).

Them same Man United fans used to talk ish about anti football and negative football and now it's "we weren't healthy, we're the away squad, it's legit tactics" "We got our money the right way, we ain't Chelsea, we don't spend just to spend" and y'all go and pick up our leftovers.

so on point lmao

Things like playing style and cautious tactics are a lot more forgivable/defensible during a managers first season in charge though. Playing not to take a L on the road while the season is still young and all the pressure is on you isn't half as infuriating as playing for a draw at home against Swansea in the second half of the season...

Doubt you'll see the same reaction if things are still the same next season or even later in this season.

Also,I don't remember anyone saying some dumb **** or complaining about Chelsea spending like that though :lol, especially after the last few summers of spending by us. Theres no room to talk

Those leftovers are still better than anyone thats been at the club post Fergie so whatever *shrugs* :lol

I never cared about Chelsea's spending.

I just always said (and still stand by it) that United generates it's income, and doesn't need a Russian/Arab sugar daddy to bring the club to glory.

You do know that this has been Mourinho's style right for his entire managerial career right? Hiring him made no sense when you think about the players Man United picked up and Man United's history of being an attacking team.

Dude used to park the bus at Real Madrid of all teams, a team full of attacking talent that could've easily won the CL if it wasn't for Barcelona/UEFA. Here's the famous GIF of Ronaldo getting pissed that no one was helping him because Mourinho had them all parked in their own half.

I know his history but I'm going off of what he said when he took over the job. He said his main aim was to bring back a winning mentality to the club as well as eventually playing the style of attractive, expansive footy that fans became accustomed too. I feel like he'll be able to adapt once he has his preferred personnel. I'm sure he'd have seen how the fans got restless under LVG last season and since he wants to be at the club for the long run,I expect him to learn from those mistakes

Everyone is going on and on and on and on about Mou's tactics against Liverpool. Have we already forgotten that SAF did the exact same thing in big games?

2007...(Match Report shows it was all one way traffic from Pool)

And before you go on about Pogba..... look at the team sheet: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra (Silvestre 63), Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney (O'Shea 73), Larsson (Saha 67).

It's perfectly normal for a manager to play defensively in a big match particularly away from home, and your team is shot in confidence.

I know a lot of you remember the ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK! games, but the truth of the matter is, SAF would often setup defensively and go for the smash and grab in big games.

Spot on Eiddy, people tend to forget that Fergie was satisfied playing for a point on occasion as well depending on the situation

This was alays gonna be a tough project,I didn't expect them to come out of the gate playing stifling attacking footy like Citeh did to start the season.

I'm sure that's gonna come in due time but Mou's still gotta build towards that. We've already seen some encouraging signs in the games so far. The attack is way more fluid and direct, hoping they'll only get better as the pieces start to fit

IDC how tthe money comes as long as it's utilized right. The trophy weighs the same whether the money been sitting in the vault for 30 years or it got wired there yesterday.

I'm just waiting for the battle on Sunday, hope I don't gotta work. I'll be here W or L though. I need to see Mou take an L.

Mourinho has done that in almost EVERY match though. It's not just against Liverpool. The Liverpool match was just another example of his overly conservative approach that ends up backfiring and getting him fired every 2-3 years. I've seen him park the bus in must-win matches where a draw isn't enough PLENTY of times. It might be OK now, but you really want him doing this when you're fighting for a CL spot towards the end of the season?

I don't hate Mourinho. I find him entertaining as a person (except when he crosses the line), and as a fellow Portuguese, I'm glad that someone from our country has had the success he has had, but watching him waste the potential of what should be highly entertaining and attacking teams is frustrating.

You're only happy with the money coming from anywhere cause your money is already in the bank and FIFA Fair Play kicked in.

Had that door still been wide open and Chinese money came blazing into the prem, you wouldn't be so happy with Newcastle or Blunderland suddenly being a billion pound club now would you?

There's a reason why clubs like MK Dons, RB Leipzig, Citeh, Chelsea etc are hated.

What kind of reception do you guys expect Mou to get at the beidge?

Feels like the fans were firmly on his side when he got sacked,I doubt it's stayed that way now that he's at OT though :lol

Hoping to see Mkhi Targaryan get the start for that match

I'm far from a Chelsea fan at all. But I remember matches where Chelsea were running RAMPANT. Drogba embarrassing us, Anelka looking filthy, Malouda puttin in work, Mata completely embarrassing opponents (look back at those two seasons before Mata left where he was rated as their best player twice).

Yes Mou is defensive, but can we stop acting like Mou didn't have high scoring games?

Lastly, YES, I want Mou to do what he's doing right now. He's sure'd up our defense, because that was a MAJOR problem of ours (obviously our Midfield was our greatest problem). Everyone said we relied on Davido all day long, finally United is changing that. Hell, we've been making do with Jermaine Jackson at RB for the past few seasons.

Some will say that defense was sured up under LVG, but that's a complete lie. We just never left our half with the ball, and when we did, we passed it around sideways for days.

Mou currently has us playing well defensively and actually leaving our half with the ball with intent (see goals from Mata, Martial, Rashford, less so Ibra in recent games).

We have some position issues (Rooney....figuring out Pogba's perfect combo and position; I remember seeing him on the left, and then defensively when we know he's best being more advanced) which we're figuring out right now.

It's a process and we gotta go through it, everyone's just having a laugh (and I guess rightly so, it's footy) because it took us a few years to get a decent manager in and work out our formula....

I'm worried about City's potential lineup today mostly in the right fullback spot. If Pep goes with a back four I have no doubt Clichy will be the starting leftback since he is much better defensively but at rightback Pablo is the only experienced option since Sagna is injured and that worries me since he clearly doesn't have the legs he used to he has lost a step. A easy way to get aorund this would be to go with a back 3 but that is extremely risky against that Barcelona front 3.

Very curious to see what the starting lineup will be

I wouldn't care. The goal is to be competitive, I'm not gonna cry over a money injection. Utilize whatever resources that are given to you.

Rola I'm expecting Mou to get tons of respect still there's still fans lamenting over the split lol

Its not my job to worry about where a team gets its money.

Its my job to yell at the TV when they ******* up.
