Now I been jammin to "Hey Ya" for years, but have you ever put much thought into the lyrics?

Andre fooled folks with the old catchy beat, catchy hook, catchy chorus @*%$. Underneath all this though, he's spitting some straight truth, and made itinto a pop hit, realizing that he could get away wit *+!!%*$+ on the concept of monogamy if the song was catchy.

you think u got it

If what they say is "nothing is foreverrr"

lol you know what's funny. i haven't heard this song in the longest time...probably since the outkast albums dropped when i was in 9th grade.

the other day i was in a store and they were playing this song, and i was listening to the lyrics and was just in awe. the lyrics are truth!

"if what they say is, nothing is forever,
what makes love the exception?"

damn that's some real @%#*

Pure Piffery. I think this is left over from his Badu days. Only real pain could generate such genius.

i really dont mean to turn this into a best of the decade thread (which we should do) but if im picking a best hip hop song of the decade, i thinki gotta go with this or B.O.B.

both flawless, timeless, fun songs that will be able to be enjoyed for a long, long time
