Every team isn't run by nepotism and I don't hate Mark.

In retrospect I really appreciate the due diligence he went through seeking outside counsel and consulting others more knowledgeable than him prior to hiring McKenzie, and for ultimately making the call.

But he's out of his depth as an NFL owner. I actually place a lot of the blame on Al. When you do see nepotism around the league, at least fathers are grooming their sons for the future position.

Al went to great lengths NOT do that with Mark - although my understanding is his motive for doing so came from a good place, he didn't want to just gift Mark anything football related.

It's not Mark's fault but he's in a very difficult position and hasn't really shown he's capable of handling it. I can't back Mark out of some misguided sense of loyalty to the Davis family.

Luckily Al had love for Oakland :hat

From my POV leaving Oakland for anywhere but L.A. would do far more destruction to both Al and the Raiders legacies.

I think Mark is looking to get paid and sell off the team after getting his stadium and maximizing the brand's worth.

Case in point is we're gonna be Raider fans no matter what happens. I try not to let this moving **** bother me too much and focus on the football these days. I will be sad if/when they leave Oakland though.

I listen to a lot of 957 at work, but Damon Bruce said what if they move to Vegas like the Browns left for BLT? Meaning, owners let Mark go...but he gotta change their name and color scheme...

Basically leaving a place card for the Oakland Raiders to return to th Bay Area market.

no way in hell this happens, but interesting nonetheless. how would y'all feel? :lol crazy I know, but it's been done.

man, I think that would be worse. seeing all these dudes wearing different uniforms on a different team while the RAIDERS history just sits on a shelf somewhere. :{

Mark jus gotta let someone/group run the team, make the decisions and jus sit back and collect. Dude is way over his head. I deff don't hate Mark cause he loves this team but he don't how to be an owner...he needs a great team around him to talk some sense into him...

All I know for sure if the move happens. Is that Oakland Raider stuff better go on super sale, cause I'm buying it ALL. lol.

I think Mark has done a great job. Are you saying he's in over his head due to the stadium issue? Mark did what he had to do. Go and get us a new stadium. You can't blame Mark for the city coming up short.

Not sure what Mark has done great other than hire Reggie McKenzie.

Dude spent millions on the practice facility that is apparently going to be vacant in a couple of years, if all goes to his plan.

I disagree that the city came up short.  The onus isn't on the city to make up a half a billion dollar deficit in funding for a football stadium, especially not when the city and county are still tens of millions dollars in debt for renovations made on the current stadium.

Mark Davis came up short. The blame that gets placed on city officials by dudes like JT the Brick is so frustrating.

Preach. I don't blame Libby for sticking with her stance of not wanting to invest more tax payer dollars to the stadium. I think she made the right comments in saying that the city will definitely pay for infrastructure costs (roads, free way entrance and exits, bart entrance/exits, etc...) something that wasn't even accounted for in Vegas til AFTER the approval was submitted.

So, a $1.9 Billy stadium, plus millions of tax payer dollars for infrastructure cost on top of that

and people think LV politicians are gettin it done, but don't even realize this is to fatten the pockets of the rich and wealthy and not supporting the community

I appreciate that he's the type of owner who doesn't seem to meddle too much in the football operations.

Also props to the city of Oakland for not fronting the money for the stadium, I want to see them stay but that would be a mistake doing that.

Mark been over his head with everything. The situation isn't ideal what he got thrown into but to be smart, you go out and seek a team that will will help with the situation. I'm not blaming Mark for the stadium situation but he also isn't helping it either. Jus chasing whoever says can build him a stadium no matter where, So cal, SAN Antonio, now Vegas. He jus not business savvy from what I am seeing...

We needed a new practice facility for years. Our facility was outdated. JDR agreed to become HC if we updated our facilities.

It's kind of funny that cities will jump out of their seats to help a rich owner pay for a stadium when they threaten to leave but this broke *** dude going from city to city with a nfl team in hand and no one wants to to do anything for him.

I thought it was common knowledge that owners get cities to pay for stadium, while they fatten their pockets.

I haven't kept up with other stadium builds, but as far as I know Levi stadium was mostly privately financed. And Stan Kronke I believe paid for his stadium that's being built right now.

Edit: Just looked up and seen Minnesota funded half for their new stadium.

I believe Mark can go out a find investors to help finance a stadium in Oakland And have the city find a great location for the As to play once they know no public money is needed for the actual stadium. Mr Lew Wolf isn't broke so he could get a As ball park built as well. But you know, perfect world. No such thing right. Lol
