by saying you don't see the need for it, who are you talking for ? the general consumer/music fans or yourself ?So if you don't like tidal or see the need for it, you "hate" jay?

Bruh why even say some **** like this?Do you see any topics across the internet on EFFN Vodka? How it's not anything new, and how they're enough Vodka companies? So if you don't like tidal or see the need for it, you "hate" jay?
Interesting
Stuff I don't care about, I don't discuss or pay attention to it. It's not a coincidence. Dudes want Jay to fail at something, anything.

You know this isn't even close to being the same thing
We're comparing music to vodka?
^ Beats didn't hold a press conference trying to pander to the emotions of the buyer by having a pity party for highly successful artists. HUGE difference between the rollouts of Beats and Tidal. They aren't even comparable accept for "celebrity".
And that's not hate--that's just speaking on the reality of what happened.
calling the press conference is a pity party but you not hating? so i guess the Yeezy fashion show was a pity party too? and every time celebrities (mostly black) come together to promote a product is a pity party?^ Beats didn't hold a press conference trying to pander to the emotions of the buyer by having a pity party for highly successful artists. Let me ask you this, why isn't he going at the labels too then? Because he needs them *************"I’ve worked at the major labels, and I’ve worked at the indies, so I’ve seen both sides of the business," says Rich Bengloff, president of the American Association of Independent Music. "A lot of the time, money that is paid outside of the direct usage doesn’t end up getting shared."
Personally, I don't want to see Tidal fail. But yes, the rollout was pretentious as hell to me. You see, you can have BOTH of the aforementioned viewpoints. It isn't always one or the other, stan or hater.I don't have a problem with someone simply having a problem with Tidal as a product, if it isn't for you it isn't for you.
My post in this thread is directed at those people in here who seem to want it to fail because it "rubbed them the wrong way". There's plenty of products i don't use that doesn't mean that i will continue to talk down on the product or want to see it fail.
It's also intriguing to me that suddenly artist doing business the same way these corporations do business is hurting people's feelings. It's extremely interesting to me that ther's a huge backlash over a group of people wanting to monetize off of their own work, yet people have no problem paying money to other companies who do the same thing, to a MUCH LARGER extent.
Yeah I was just about to edit my post after I saw yours. I looked it up and saw the same blurb from Schlogel.
I broke it down in the post directly above yours but the industry standard is 70%, 60 to the labels and 10 to the artist.
Tidal is giving 75%, 62.5 to the labels and 12.5 to the artist. So it is better but it's not "75% to the artist" better like he claimed in his tweet
If I decided to pay for a music streaming site id rather line a black man pocket who invested in it than some unknown white man. Jay puts money in the community so I can't hate on this venture if his product is comparable to his competitors.
Don't care about a break down only being 2.5% more...But it's still more even though it's a small amount. As of now tidal is still behind content wise but maybe they'll get it together as time moves along. It's still early in the process for them
This is just an average black man opinion. I'm supporting my own unless they're a proven buck dancer or a scam artist.

Jay been putting money in the White Man's pocket for years himself though. Live Nation? Reebok? He should've banded together with Black music heavyweights years ago. Now, the sudden change? Save it.
