top 10 highest earning athletes of the decade, even with team and individual sports

There's no damn reason MLB players should be making more than NFL players.

It really makes no sense

It does make sense. Football players more prone to injury and they’re given non-guaranteed contracts. Plus they only play 16 games compared to 162 for baseball players.

None of that has to do with anything.

The NFLs revenue split is ****ed, and the union is too far behind to do anything about it.

NBA players are also highly underpaid.

Because history have proven that IG is a honest and complete view into someone’s life. Do some research other than IG, that’s not just fight money.

Lewis Hamilton would be at a billion career earnings already easy if the big cigarette money was still in F1, thats how Schumacher was making so much money back then and had a billion in career earnings

Floyd would be a billionaire if he’d quit doing stupid ****.

It has financial barriers of entry like tennis, F1, polo and other "rich ppl sports"
Pretty much. It’s an expensive sport. Getting the shoes clubs balls tee times trainers etc costs a heck of a lot more than a pair of basketball shoes and telling your kid to go to the park and play.

162 games vs 16 games....... c’mon man. Y’all do realize only a FEW MLBers make bank, plus a baseball players sports-life expectancy is wayyyyyyy higher. Some dudes play consistently for 15-20 years.

football players physically don’t have that type of longevity. Too much wear and tear. Baseball players have elongated primes.

stop acting like these cats don’t deserve to be played.

lastly, BLAME THEIR UNION FOR NOT PUSHING GUARANTEED CONTRACTS. Football players have no one to be upset with, except themselves. Worse union in sports. And football is my #1 sport.

He won’t be able to come out of retirement for a 5th time when he’s 47. Money gonna dry up fast as he ages and continues to spend.

what leads you to think this man doesn’t make good investments? I’m sure he SILENTLY does lots behind closed doors. Floyd is no where near my favorite boxer (Sugar Ray Leonard).

but Floyd is the DEFINITION of a hustler!!!
