Jeremy Clarkson To Move Over To Top Gear USA
BBC is giving Jeremy Clarkson a second chance after sacking him from Top Gear UK last week by moving him to the US version of the show, which is a separate business entity, thus making the deal possible without frustrating its UK staff.
A BBC source told UK media: "They are working on a plan for bringing Jeremy Clarkson to Top Gear USA", without elaborating further.
Many questions remain open, including whom Clarkson will replace on the History Channel's show that stars professional racing driver Tanner Foust, actor and comedian Adam Ferrara, and automotive and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.
Unless, that is, they plan to bring along James May and Richard Hammond as well and give US viewers the original trio of hosts that they really wanted from the beginning…
For what it's worth, a report from the Express today said co-presenters James May and Richard Hammond have both indicated that they may move on away from Top Gear UK, which would work out for the above scenario.
No further information was given about when we'll see Clarkson on US cable television.
For now, we know that all three presenters will continue their Top Gear Show tour, which will be rebranded as "Clarkson, Hammond and May Live", according to the BBC.
A spokesman for Brand Events, who are co-producing the shows, told BBC that they wanted to thank "ticket holders for their continued patience".
"The fans are the most important people to Jeremy, Richard and James so we're delighted to be able to say 'we're still coming'. We're sure it'll be something you won't want to miss," said the spokesperson.
Yup. Just like my southern *** family calling Asians oriental. They aren't racist but say some dumb stuff. The racist thing is really blown out of proportion. He got caught maybe saying the N word one single time, while singing a song where the N word was really a part of it back in the day.
Hes no Donald Sterling
He also called Asians a slope in the Burma special. Flew over our heads because that's such an obscure racist term that most people don't even know what it means.
I don think he's a racist tho. But punching someone is enough to get fired without taking into consideration anything else he might very done. Doubt this is the first time he crossed the line behind the scene.
I think Clarkson is much more racially insensitive than actually being racist...
May and Hammond no longer work for the BBC...
