Might as well get a discussion going.

Ya'll know the drill.

Ill comment tommorow night after I finish my last exam.

APOCALYPZ'S OFFSEASON TODO LIST:
  • Fire Sam Mitchell
  • Get rid of TJ Ford
  • In place, sign a decent PG with the same salary ($8M)
  • Resign Jose Calderon
  • Resign Humphries to a cheap contract
  • Trade/Get rid of Joey Graham, Carlos Delfino
  • Keep Jamario Moon
  • See what we can do with Bargnani and Parker
  • Fire Sam Mitchell (I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.)
That's it for now.

Delfino>Moon.

I'll be back with a full round up once the razor wounds heal.

this dude OKB.

I like Delfino as well, it's just his shot selection. I guess you could say the same with Moon, but I see much more potential in Jamario.

That's just one man's opinion though.

Humphries has already been resigned 9 mill/3 years.
and Moon was signed for two years at the beginning of this year.

I say we:
- Let Deflino walk
- Hope Rasho opts out and let him walk to
- Bring over Roko-Leni Ukic, and keep our two PG's until the trade deadline. At which point we explore trades for either one and try to get a decent bigwho can bang down low.
- Draft Brandon Rush or Bill Walker. Both are athletic swingmen, aren't soft, can play defense
- Let Joey Graham play next season!!!
- FIRE SAM MITCHELL!!!!

DO NOT let joey graham play.....more like trade his candy +$# because he's a useless piece of crap

-fire sam
-trade TJ
-trade graham
-trade baston
-actually START kapono
-resign CALDERON and make him start - MOST IMPT THING

see if u can get trade value for Bargs/Delfino/Moon/Rasho/Humps/Brezec

basically - JUST KEEP BOSH/CALDERON/KAPONO/GARBO/PARKER

obv trade bargs ONLY if u get a juicy return for him, then i would consider it

It is stupid to trade Bargs at this point. He has one more year. If he doesnt produce, he is as good as gone. BC isnt stupid enough to trade him at this point.

IMO, no player is safe this offseason, with the possible exception of Bosh.

Calderon - SHOULD be re-signed to a new contract
TJ - SHOULD be traded. However, may have low trade value
Parker - SHOULD be kept for one more year. Dude is a good role player that I think we should keep
Kapono - MUST start next year
Delfino - Should keep, but only if we can have him robotically programmed to not take stupid shots
Moon - Should keep. Dude is still getting better. The one slasher we have on this team
Bosh - Should teach how to man up this year. Get him to body some big dudes, hit the gym.
Humph - he is the hustle big. Keep him
Rasho - I think he should stay. He is valuable against dominant bigs like Shaq (I know, didnt show against Orlando, because of lack of playtime)

Here is what we know will happen...
-Bosh is untouchable
-Calderon WILL be resigned
-Bargnani is staying
-Moon is staying
-Chuckfino is staying

Good bye:
-Primoz Brezec
-Darrick Martin (as a player)

Trade bait:
-TJ Ford
-Joey Graham
-Rasho Nesterovic (expiring contract)
-Anthony Parker (expiring contract)
-Jorge Garbajosa (expiring contract)
-Kris Humphries

What I'd like to see done...
-Fire Sam Mitchell
-Trade Ford or Calderon (whoever gets the better player in return) for a very good wingman (Travis Outlaw would be good enough for me)
-Draft an athletic wingman
-Sign a rebounder to the mid-level exception ($6 mil/season)
-Sign an NBA veteran to back up Calderon

C-Rebounder
PF-Bosh
SF-Slasher
SG-Slasher
PG-Calderon

Bench: Rasho, Parker, Moon, Chuckfino, Bargnani, Kapono, Veteran PG

I read they may be looking to trade TJ Ford to the bulls for nocioni.

J.R smith would be a good addition to this team. He's a knuckle head off the court, but you cant deny his talent. He's still very young, athletic andhe can shoot.

Ford for Nocioni is the type of trade Colangelo will be looking to make. I've also heard Ford for Travis Outlaw.
JR Smith's basketball IQ islimited and he doesn't play defense. Sadly, He'd still be the 2nd or 3rd best player on this team

negative, we do NOT need another swingman who cant play a lick of defense. id much rather have nocioni, the guy can bring some toughness and the sameefficiency with the 3.

and there is no getting around this, we NEED to see some improvement with Bargnani next season. we finally got a number one pick (which realy should have beengreg oden at the time, so damn you david stern), and use it on bargnani who just contributes to the problems now. granted, he showed some effort out there attimes, battling howard, but the man needs to do what he was brought in to do- shoot the damn 3, take it to the hole, and grab some rebounds, and be a face ofthis franchise along with bosh. i say see what we can get for bargs, if its anything close to reasonable (aka we get a decent big man in return), then thetrigger should be pulled.

i like parker and moon, i think they can get beter defensively, but i really don't like delfino, im sick and tired of seeing him stall our offence and jackup 3's that he has not business taking. Ford as well, though i like him as a player, he's just too much of a liability on defense. just see how nelsonbasically handed caldeford their collective %#@ in this series.

As a blazers fan, I've seen a lot of Outlaw. He's athletic but he doesnt use his athletic ability as much as you'd like to see. It seemsthis year he was out to prove how much he's worked on his shooting, but forgot how to slash.

JR's IQ isnt the best, but its expected from a high school player. I bet he takes his game to a whole new level next season..

TJ for Nocioni would be a steal. If that happens, then by all means trade Delfino as Nocioni would be an upgrade over Delfino. Anthony Parker is a good roleplayer, kinda like David Wesley for the Nets back in the early-to-mid 90's so keeping him around will definitely help in terms of consistency and stability(doesn't hurt he's a low maintenance guy and will probably stick around for the MLE). All Raps need is a bruiser at the 4 or 5 spot to haul in somerebounds but then a quality big is always in high demand, it'll be interesting to see what sort of magic BC can perform this offseason.

^^^
Do you think Ford for Outlaw would be a beneficial trade for both teams?

Raps get an athletic forward, Blazers get a starting PG.

Blazers are going to be nasty next season, luckily I jumped on the bandwagon last summer after they drafted Oden. Super Sonics are another team with unlimitedupside.

Oden
Aldridge
Webster/Outlaw
Roy
Get a point guard

1st round pick in June, $20 mill in cap room next summer, the Blazers are going to be unbelievable. Only problem is the West is ultra competitive.

Crazy w/ Jermaine sitting on the bench with a cast on both his legs

I think the Blazers are going to try and develop Jarret Jack as their number one point guard.

Outlaw/Nocioni will be a great upgrade.

Most likely a soft player that only shoots 3's and doesn't play defense.

Watch Colangelo draft the Italian LeBron James....Danillo Gallinari
grin.gif

According to some mock drafts that I've seen, serviceable big men like Roy Hibbert and Robin Lopez might be available late in the draft. The problem isit's too early for Colangelo to give up on Bargnani.

If I was a betting man I'd say we're going to draft a small forward who is capable of starting half-way through next season. This draft looks VERYdeep, there is no excuse for not coming out of this draft with a quality player that can help this team for years to come.
