Where do you DJ and what type of events?
I've always wanted to give DJing publicly a try but I haven't had the balls to do it.

Out in LA, I do it for my the artists I work with since most don't have dudes that spin.
I do mainly small events bars/events/house parties. i'm not really trying to be a big time club dj :lol:

i'd recommend a numark platinum controller since your entry level. Really easy controller to use, only $250 online, and portable. That's what I'm using rn since I hop around certain parts of the city.

Yea J-Disco has a huge influence on the Future Funk music genre. That's pretty much the main reason I don't consider Future Funk to be a rebranding of House music but it's own thing. The Disco they sample is typically Japanese instead of American. The Anime/80s & 90s aesthetics help make it distinct as well.
