So whats a good brand to try out?

Staffords any good? That's what my crew neck white tees are.

IMO the whole point of them is to look casual, like you just woke up, tossed it on and got on with the day

So I usually pass on:
A. Wearing them in colder seasons with jackets and scarves, if it's cold, just go with a full shirt. At the most I'll rock a thin zip hoody with one.
and
2. Wearing screen printed ones because that seems like your trying to hard

^^^American Apparel or BDG from Urban Outfitters. Both make them with super soft cotton and in tons of colors. I personally stay away from Hanes and Fruit ofthe Loom because they fit completely different after the wash.
