Thinking of going somewhere in a couple of months. Somewhere in the Carribean. anyone have any ideal spots where it isnt as expensive as other places lik St. Lucia. I might just do a cruise since its all inclusive

You set the parameters for what exact type of resort you are looking for, # of stars (which they actually rate in Apples), restaurants, etc. The rate is discounted b/c you don't pick a specific resort. When you check in at the airport for your flight they tell you what resort you are staying at, it is guaranteed to meet your requirements or better, but you get to stay much cheaper than you would have, had you just booked the specific resort outright. Essentially what they do is put you in the resort that best meets your specifications with the lowest amount of current occupancy.
We've never been disappointed. Last year we went to Cancun, 8 days 7 nights, with direct flights out of Cincinnati and transportation to and from the airport in Mexico, as well as all inclusive at the resort we stayed at for about $900 a piece. The resort we ended up at was actually one we considered just booking outright b/c it looked so nice on the website, and had we booked it outright for the same dates it would have cost us almost $1,300 a person.
I hope that info helps and makes sense.
Looks like Belize. Water was shallow as hell inside the reef.Originally Posted by ThaT Dude173
