different animal, people don't want to upgrade Droids like they do with the iPhone

What the hell are you basing this on?

 Sneakerpro, you are totally wrong
Droid X and Incredible are made by two different manufacturers that are competing with each other, so there will be two droid releases

Two different phones from different manufacturers. Og droid came from motorola came out in November 2009. Droid x came out last July. There isn't much from your statement that makes sense when comparing release dates.

So I guess it's all up to what you are willing to trade-off. Since I am usually on the phone while accessing some type of data I need GSM/HSDPA's ability to allow voice and data at the same time. But if I lived in a rural or extremely spotted area I'd probably have Verizon.
That's interesting.

I'm on VZW now and I've never noticed an instance where I'd use Voice and Data at the same time. I never even knew it was a debating point for ATT vs VZW until recently.

I always figured if you were talking, you were talking. *shrug*

What's the big deal about this feature exactly?
If you're doing anything related to data, and you recieve a call, your data stops until you finish the call.

Point still stands the Droid and the Droid 2 for that matter came out less than one year after the original Droid. 8 months to be exact.

If a Iphone 5 releases I can damn near guarantee it will release on Verizon before Christmas..

The general public can barely even tell the difference in manufacturers, hell they think all Droids are made by the same company.

sucks for you, sitting in the house physically holding a phone to your head is dumb when you can roam freely handsfree. Nobody said rock a bluetooth in the street.

Shoot, I guess not. Conference calls from work need data? I don't use my personal phone for work though, they provide me with one for that. I only got 450 minutes man, and I'm not even using all of them.

Bluetooth was never really my thing. I always think of corporate yuppies when I see them on older people... and the only reason I would actually need one is while driving, in which case I'd never be checking data anyways.

I dunno, lack of data + voice simultaneously doesn't kill the iphone for me at all.

I'll check the iphone out in may when my upgrade is due.
