Verizon Wireless announcing the Iphone on Tuesday January 11th

One things for sure the androids touch screen is not as responsive as iOS. Nearly threw a mytouch against the wall of frustration

So if Android OS platform is doing as well why did 41% of people choose Android OS as there next smartphone of choice compare to 26.9 percent for iOS

Apple may have sold 1.7 million iPhones but based on that graph, it aint done !@@$ for there market value. Why didnt it do anything for there market value? That's because a survey showed that 77% of that 1.7 million iPhone 4 were UPGRADES, not new customers and another thing, it was in 3 days, not 2 days.

That's what this debate was originally about, than that dude insanebolt got butt hurt when I brought facts that showed Android OS is leading the mobile market, EVEN after the iPhone 4 released AND has a bigger user base than he wanna argue sales of JUST the iPhone 4

How do you say which is the leading mobile market strictly off userbase? If thats the case those "facts" are dependent on which analyst you go by. If you go by Nielsen then they say iOS has the bigger userbase and market share as indicated by this chart(I would think Nielsen would be a more reputable source compared to the garbage source you listed):http://www.androidcentral.../684/2011/01/nielsen.pngNow if you want to go buy which market has the most potential it's still iOS. My question is to you what do you think the verizon iPhone will do for it's market share?

Yeah... those posts are for new acquires only, meaning they just signed up for a new contract, no upgrades.

OF COURSE android is going to have a larger market share of new contracts, they're a newer company operating on 4 carriers. I would be surprised if they weren't in the lead in that respect.

I'd like to hear what you have to say when android sales PLUMMET come February 10.

This is one of the most overlooked features when comparing the iphone to any android device. the iphone is unmatched when it comes to form factor and screen responsiveness. This is definitely a deciding factor for people when they choose their phone.

when will people realize that the game would be so much different if apple put out multiple phones a quarter like android does, this debate is so unnecessary

Android may be on 4 carriers but ios marketshare incorporates iPod touch and ipod sales so its not an unfair comparison.

Either way both are doing fine, I can't watch a basketball or footballl game without seeing an evo, Droid x or iPhone commercial every break.

 dont believe this guy

he was guaranteeing a t-mobile iPhone 1st quarter in 2010, then says it was coming out by the end of the year or something

i seriously doubt t-mobile would have done like anything to get the iPhone and if there were talks, Apple would be the ones to back out

Not really because phone wise android has atleast 20 phones you can buy right now, around 10 major tablets and a I believe they have some iPod competitors coming out by archos which are all considered in the marketshare. It's funny though how people have so much faith in android after this verizon deal. Verizon was the MAIN carrier for android initially and now they are making the iPhone their flagship device. Peep their plans for the marketing campaign: http://mygadgetnews.com/2...xpense-of-android-sales/
In global news the CDMA iPhone is going to increasing the amount of potential users overseas:http://modmyi.com/forums/...-mobile-player-asia.html
