My coworker has had the one for about... two weeks...
He said the battery is comparable to the note 2... lasts all day and into the next day easy.

The One has the most efficient browsing experience on any phone. Just off that strength alone I'm gonna cop I kill my G Nex battery in about a hour and a half of screen on time and all I do is browse and text

I played with the one yesterday. Nice quality build, doesn't feel cheap at all, other than that it's just like any other phone imo.

Its funny though cause when the Evo initially dropped HTC was known as the king of updates and Samsung were the ones who forced you to cop another variant of the same phone to get the updated software. The difference between 4.1 and 4.2 doesn't matter to me at all especially considering how everyone is saying sense 5 as a skin feels faster than any other out there . As long as I can get a stock version of KLP a couple months after its released when the next Nexus' drops I'll be fine and I know I will with the likes of CM and AOKP backing HTC handsets .

One of my gripe about Samsung phones is that it feels cheap with all those plastic ...hopefully with HTC killing the design with the One, Samsung will use more quality parts on the S5 or Note 3 ....

yeah...i'm surprised how much build quality played into my decision...the htc one just felt perfect in my hand
it's all preference because both are great phones
i'm switching to the HTC One because of the screen and build quality, and speed
I can trade in my old HTC Touch Pro 2 and get the $100 VISA from HTC and the free car dock from T-Mobile as well
and Tets if you like the spen and bigger screen keep the note 2...
but if you dont even use touchwiz and dont mind a smaller screen then go with the HTC One because it is the best all around phone

rumor has it that there is also a metal version of the s4 and that the note 3 will be metal because the HTC One is such a solid phone

Haven't heard anything at all about a GS4 redesign frankly that just sounds dumb . I have definitely heard about the Note 3 having and aluminum unibody design and still having a removable battery and SD card slot which is definitely interesting .

I was rather disappointed when I learned of the flimsy plastic casing on my Note 2.they should be ashamed of themselves. I wonder if there are any after market aluminum back plates.

there is an aftermarket aluminum case+backcover that you screw together...makes the phone look like a giant Note 2/iPhone fusion

I love sense and I've been playing with my Evo. It feels good in my hand but a Lil strange at the same time.
I don't use my s pen at all unless I'm on photo shop touch.
