The Sense UI wasn't changed and hasn't change much, since the phone 1st shipped with Eclair then froyo down the road. The internal workings(system functionality) of gingerbread was added into the Sense UI, however HTC should have taken some design cues from Gingerbread UI they are actually useful. Does that make sense?

lol I see what you did there. But yeah that's my gripe with the design. I HATE sense now that I've been on AOSP Roms like MIUI and CM7. The only thing I like about sense is the clock (as dumb as that sounds).

I would think more ram and more internal storage is enough to differentiate the two.

I have the HTC Desire Z (From Bell in Canada). It's the equal to the T-mobile HTC G2. Get ready to pay an arm and a leg for it though...
