Spent 5 days last week down on the Gulf coast of FL, Sanibel Island. Took a few pics. Sun, sand, warm water, cold drinks and not a drop of oil.
Sanibel Island - south of Tampa, north of Naples:
Hotel:
Beach in the backyard:
Water as around 80 degrees between 11am - 3pm. Tide was just right. 100 feet from the shore line it was still 3-4 feet of water.
FREE BIKES to ride around the island:
Breakfast:
Lunch:
Dinner (Curried Florida Gulf shrimp over white rice):
Beach at sunrise:
Beach at dusk. Low tide, people walking on the sandbar looking for shells:
Full moon over the beach, at dusk around 8pm:
8:25pm
So yea, life really isn't about $250 sneakers, $50 t-shirts and paying $200 for a bottle of $40 Grey Goose at a club.
Save your money and go see the world.
