I'm completely ignorant of the Ant Man comics, but I'll keep an open mind.

Marvel hasn't steered me too wrong yet.

I'm feeling like it's inevitable.

The more risks you take the more likely you are to take a step back.

I wonder if they might be stretching themselves a bit thin.

3 movies a year schedule coming up soon.

Agents of Shield show. Then there's 4 Netflix miniseries coming out. Then there's the Agent Carter show.

Of all their ambitions, the Agent Carter show is the one I'm most ehh about. Not really feeling anything set in the 1940s. The only reason why I'd consider watching is Agent Carter just casted this lady:

Ant man isn't well liked but when you talk Avengers you have to think Pym just like you have to talk about Clint Barton. I really wish they made Paul Rudd play Hank Pym and introduce him before AoU. Would've been a nice way to introduce him and added more science nerds into the mix but either way Antman isn't that relevant

There are no Ant Man comics man Other than the new one Marvel is about to launch next year.

Ant Man is a bit hero, that wasn't that important at first but then got turned in to a crazy wife beater, created like 3 or 4 other superhero identities and became the Avenger to create one of their biggest threats. That's it really. Later on it was revealed Pym is bi-polar which I think was a cool development and made sense.

Then Lang came along that had an okay background but again he was Ant Man so that wasn't gonna go far. Plus they strayed away from him being a thief. He did some stuff with Jessica Jones as her ex or something. Then the Scarlet Witch killed him.

Then O'Grady came around and he was really the best Ant Man but that was cuz Kirkman created him and he was just an a-hole funny character. Then he was killed and replaced by a robot.

Hawkeye sucks more than Ant Man.

By now you gotta accept the movies aint the comics. Just cuz they're adapting a story line title don't mean it'll have the same continuity.

In the comics Marvel is seems to be trying to do it over night. A new black inhuman, a new asian female spidey.

DC on the other hand couldnt accept a lesbian wedding and turned connor hawke and onyx white. IDK who they are but you know DC would do that.

Doubt we'll see diversity on a full scale for 30+ years imo.

Now that I know Agent Carter is only 8 episodes long, I'm all for it.

The strategies of doing mini series for all these minor characters just might work. No dragging things along and making the audience bored and at the same time you're deepening the Marvel roster.

It has potential. Spy world in the 1950s. At this point I expect better than S1 of AOS.

Well, you don't even think to question it when Black Widow is running with an all american crew.

If she was running with an all Russian crew and she's the only one with a flawless American accent, it'd stick out. Plus for all we know, the MCU's version of Romanoff might've grew up in the US and only went back to Russia later. Her past is so mysterious. That's the way I think of it.

My thing is she should at least talk with accent among friends. Aint like she already got her solo movie and she's on missions.

Then again that would be a huge twist. Come to find out since IM2 she's been undercover with a fake American accent and then she turns on everybody and says "Dasvidaniya"

Why would her having an accent make her a worse spy?

I thought the accent just went with the character, kinda like how colossus has one. Not a deal breaker but it's just part of their persona imo. Maybe make her more tolerable on screen

She mentions that she's russian... well was.

She's a spy, I would think being able to fit in anywhere is a very valuable skill to have. And all these British actors are making me think its easy to have an American accent

I mean I'm aware of her background in the comics, was just curious if they specifically mentioned it in the movies and not just implied in a way for the audience to put the pieces together
