Iron man is basically deontay wilder. Because he has the suits he gets away with throwing haymakers. He's never showed any hands outside the suit except stopping bucky from shooting him in the face which he used that watch to turn into Ironman to do.

1) he doesn't have to be in the suits to control them, we've seen it in multiple movies now
2) we saw him fight whiplash before getting the suitcase armor
3) unlike cap, without his suit tony didn't kneel before Loki
