WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

SHIELD is just underground now. Have it be Director Coulson instead of Nick and there you
They have no money. No jurisdiction. Just a plane. Without all they had, they're just vigilantes. Especially seeing how this Civil War stuff is partially due to SHIELD, why would it be brought back so soon? If anything, the Avengers will recruit him, and he'll make some smart *** quip and say he works alone or whatever, and he'll end up joining through some other circumstance.

I did say if.

I'm telling you SHIELD will be back in the bigger picture. Maybe along with SWORD

Oh they'll definitely be back. Just not any time soon. I'll say they'll be back in Phase IV

Phase 4 is after the Infinity War movies. That'll be in 2019. I doubt they'll take that long to get shield back in the picture when there's a show called agents of shield going on..

They just gon magically rebuild SHIELD that quick? Right after the whole Hydra debacle?

Those, what 6-8 characters are SHIELD. They gon have to recruit their ***** off, and gain government trust if they coming back soon. Ion see it happening.

Marvel doesn't own him. Sony & Marvel just made a deal to have him included in their films.

They're not going to keep their agents underground for 5 seasons man, that's pretty ridiculous.

If AoS ends prematurely, they will likely just accelerate the process of building up the agency again

Hard to imagine the agency wouldn't exist at the end of its run

So this doesn't really help your argument

I just find it hard that it'll bounce back so soon after being found out that Hydra was in the ranks. Doesn't seem as if that's something you recover from quickly. But I guess.

Im not sure how far apart the phases are but Phase 1 was only week long in the continuity

Variety reporting that Andrew Garfield was given the chance to return, but turned it down because he didn't want to do another reboot.

:lol if true

I think someone on here said that they want to find a director first before they make any casting decisions.

I wonder if the Russo brothers are still game.

I read it differently, it said they spoke to him but eventually it wasn't his decision because Marvel just wanted a younger Peter Parker.

I'll see if I can find the article. It's difficult to sift through these things because so many reports have been out there the last week due to the announcement.

Garfield is a dummy if that is true :{

Not necessarily. RDJ and Chris Evans have both been trying to make sure they arent typecasted.

It sucks that he will be remembered for a reboot that didnt do well but if this thing with scorsese pop off, then he wouldve made the correct decision.

You and I must be talking about different articles because I just read it again, and it said what I said

I believe this was the initial article/report: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...-man-joins-the-marvel-cinematic-universe.html

And it definitely does not say that he said no, people just assume. All it says is there was a conversation but it didn't make sense.

Garfield had discussions about continuing his involvement in the surprise new Spidey venture that Sony and Marvel announced late Monday night, but ultimately it didn’t make sense to keep him for what will be a new chapter for Spider-Man, the source said. The role will be recast as Sony and Marvel look to reboot the character, yet again.

I can see where people would misread it but it definitely did not go into detail saying it was Garfield that said no to the role.

According to Screenrant (http://screenrant.com/spider-man-marvel-reboot-andrew-garfield/) which also used TheDailyBeast article for source, also claims it was the higher ups that decided Garfield wasn't the one they wanted to move forward with.

The Daily Beast says that before the deal was finalized, Garfield was having discussions with the studio pertaining to his potential involvement with the series. As for why he won’t be sharing the screen with Robert Downey, Jr. and Chris Evans, the powers that be ultimately determined that it didn’t make sense for Garfield’s incarnation to be carried over. Given that Marvel is looking to start anew with a much younger actor than the 31-year old thespian, it’s understandable why they’d go this route.

Plus Garfield was pretty keen on joining the Avengers before so given this chance, I do not see why he would pass it up especially now that Marvel is involved: http://deadline.com/2013/07/comic-con-andrew-garfield-wants-to-join-the-avengers-psych-545409/

Andrew Garfield revealed today that the Spider-Man story he’d most like to see made into a film is one that is legally impossible, at least for the moment. “I’d love to see [Spider-Man] with The Avengers,” he said, to audible gasps, during the Sony Pictures panel discussion of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at Comic-Con. “Wouldn’t that just be awesome? Just saying.”

Never understood this line of thinking, these films are making them legendary to entire generations both young and old.

Sure, go do The Judge in your spare time or non memorable movies like Snowpiercer and Puncture. You are the face of a freaking franchise. You are freaking Iron Man and Captain America!

That's why I like Chris Pratt, dude knows how lucky he is to have been cast in the Marvel Universe and now that GotG has taken off, dude is flourishing.

Damn, Garfield is 31. Dude looks like he just got past puberty.

I never said it has to be another love story. I don't even want a high school story :lol

But if they insist on doing a high school story again

And they do cast Dylan O'Brien

Makes sense to cast Britt Robertson as Gwen

Chris Pratt really just started his big screen career and it doesnt look like he is typecast yet. Cowboy Ninja Viking and his role in Jurrasic World dont seem like they will be the same character as Star Lord.

Sherlock Holmes role is very similar to Tony Stark and those are his most successful franchises since he took the Iron Man mantle.

Being cast to one type of role, like action star (Pratt) > Being cast to one type of character
