WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

They pushed back the movies they do own solely for a movie they don't just because Spidey will be apart of the MCU. That they did that is almost like they changed their minds and decided to make a Moon Knight movie and push the other movies back for that. Thing is they don't own Spidey outright so for that reason alone I wouldn't have whenever Sony wants to release a Spidey movie change the roll out for movies they set things up for.

Like I said I'd have just told Sony find your own time to release the Spidey solo since we've already laid out our plan for phase 3.

Maybe the timing of it is important. We don't know if it's a self contained story or if he'll be affected by Cap 3. Folks thought it was weird to have Ant-Man 2 to end Phase II until we see how it fits within the larger narrative.
So you think they already have plans for the Spidey solo movie to the point it's placement had to push everything back cuz it might do something that affects other MCU movies but what they didn't have those sort of plans for all the movies they pushed back? Unless Spidey is gonna cameo in Thor 3, BP, Cap Marvel, and Inhumans I'm not buying it.

Like I said man, tell Sony find their own date. They could've squeezed in July or somewhere else. This push back literally threw off the whole 3 movies a year from Marvel.

Supposedly Sequel will have the American branch of The Kingsman in it.

Doesnt that take away the entire concept of the movie?
No.

The whole hook of the comic was there's this super secret spy **** going on all over the world. That the character Firth's playing has been doing for decades since he joined. No surprise it continues on to set up in the sequel.

Meh. It'll work. I'm kinda at the point where I don't want to discuss any of the films past Cap 3. I need to see how things start before getting into all this other stuff.

Zik, I don't think Marvel went through all this trouble with making a team-up with Sony to not have their own ideas for the Spidey solo movie all this time. Feige is helping to helm that movie. Even though Sony stands to be the only one to make money off of the movie, I think creatively, Marvel is approaching it as if its one of their movies.

Even if you don't want to believe that, it wouldn't be a good look for Marvel to tell its new partner to 'go look for its own date.' Damaging start to a new friendship . At the very lease, Sony gets a release date without having to worry about competing with any of the Marvel movies.

**** a friendship. Feige should be making Sony his *****.

I don't deny that Marvel obviously have their own plans for the solo Spidey flick and how he'll operate in the NYC of the MCU. I'm just saying I don't think that they simply already have plans for how that movie will affect the movies after it that it had to be in that slot. I feel it's more like Sony agreed that they'd reboot and they wanted it to be pretty soon. Feige simply played nice and gave them one of their slots.

I feel a Spidey flick could do fine whenever. It's Spider-Man. I don't believe the solo flick is suddenly time sensitive and had to take that slot or nothing else. Spidey will be more of a blockbuster than ever now that it's in the MCU. Release the movie on xmas and watch it gross the highest.
Hey man if the writer wants to do it who's to tell him no?

Didnt get around to reading the comic yet. Not telling him no. Thought it was about her majesty's secret service being all extra. NVM then

Might have started as Her Majesty's Secret Service. Could still be. They just have spies in America and probably everywhere else in the world
They are that and have spies but America and elsewhere also have their own super secret groups in this fictional world.

Millar pretty much always has his American take on things with stuff like this.

I don't think anyone is looking at it like it's a time sensitive issue. Likely, it's a creative issue. Maybe they really need the solo movie to setup something in future movies. It's hard to say for sure, until we see the Spidey movie.

Feige is also likely just playing nice, but I think in this case, it'll pay off to play nice. Maybe they'll like working with each other so well that they'll merge into the same entertainment company or some **** and then Spidey can truly be Marvel's . You never know

Time sensitive or creative issue it's the same thing I'm saying.

If they have some creative idea involving Spidey and want it to happen at a certain point it becomes time sensitive enough that they had to push back the other movies. That's at least what tay1 implied might be a possibility which I'm not denying outright. I'm just saying w/e it is doesn't matter to the point you have to push back the rest. They could've simply released a Spidey solo that same year in it's own space. There's enough unless they're worried about releases from DC, Fox, etc.

I don't think it won't pay off I just don't think it was necessary.

When you look at the original phase 3 plan for 2017, Marvel had GotG 2 in May, Thor 3 in July, and BP in Nov. That's a one month gap between the first two and then a 3 month gap with the last 2. I mean the Spidey solo could've released in March or Sept or Oct. but instead it's kinda a halfway thing where Spidey is apart of the MCU but not apart of Marvel studios. They could've kept to their 3 movies a year roll out. Now Inumans is just put way off in to 2019 to a similar Ant-Man slot which I can't say is a good or bad thing other than I don't want to keep only watching Agents of Shield to be up on the Inhumans.

If anything I wished they pushed one of their movies back and released 3 movies in 2016 but that obviously would've put a rush on w/e movie chosen for that.

As far as mergers go like I been said I would've much preferred Disney to just buy Sony Ent outright, fire those ppl that been ******* up the franchise since SM3 to ASM2 and keep it moving but that's a whole other thing.

I'm just saying I'm not happy with 4 movies I was looking forward to being pushed back further when despite creative input and possibly control it's not a property Marvel studios owns outright.

I don't remember where I read it anymore but I read speculation that this whole partnership thing is just Marvel putting itself into position to absorb Sony entertainment eventually or something to that extent.

As far as putting Spidey in its own space - Sept and Oct are not ideal. March is OK, but I'm sure Sony really wants and is expecting Spidey to hit a bill now that it's associated with the mcu.

I'm not a box office expert like that but I can't think of any movies that hit a bill releasing in March. Alice in Wonderland?

Yeah I read similar in one of the few articles posted and out there but as of now it's more speculation.

It's possible this partnership is just a head start on that.

I couldn't imagine the price though since Spidey on his own is probably worth a few billion and plus it'd mean Disney buying Sony Pictures Ent. from the Japanese; Sony Corporation. Resulting in Sony Corp having no media entertainment presence in the U.S.

With everybody thinking Marvel and DC are going tit for tat with these announcements for their movies, it's pretty safe to say DC can't top the Spidey in the MCU news right?

Unless that old rumor of WB buying Fox or vice versa turns out to be true and we get a X-Men and JL crossover :lol 8o

Sony owns the bond films too right?

Disney could literally plot out the next 20 years with marvel films, Star Wars and bond.. Could steal fassbender for the new bond, thus taking him away from fox

Honestly, there's just no way DC can top the Spidey announcement. Only way they would is if they never had the rights to Batman and they just acquired Batman.

How does SHIELD not have those Hydra energy guns? I'm looking at the first captain america and I realized that this movie is not half bad. There's just no surprises, great performances, and nothing is really revolutionary. But, what it does have is a decent story that's straight-forward, good cast that fulfills their roles, and a good demonstration of Captain America's fighting skill and power.

in terms of First avenger, SHIELD wasn'teven around yet when Cap first got created Iinto.the Super Soldier. In terms of the guns, they usedthe tesserect to develop enough ppower. Plus they had Zola.

They had the updated versions and locked them away with all of the other super weapons and alien tech they've collected over the years or at least that's what was shown in a few eps of Agents of SHIELD.

I thought they would use weapons like that but, I guess it might be forbidden by the U.S. government for one reason or another.
