WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

I actually enjoyed Cap1 and Thor1 strictly as origin movies. Nothing more nothing less.
It's the origin part that got me disappointed about Cap1. They botched that imo. That **** wasn't WW2 or the best version of Cap you could've used. The montaging away of actual war time experience was a joke too. I left that movie thinking MCU Cap was just a guy that got drugged up on SS and was used for promoting the war and went on one mission to stop the Red Skull, not an actual leader, or skilled tactician. Seems Bucky was the one really putting in work in the war.

Thor was w/e. I'm not the biggest fan. They went with Thor all the time that loses his way and ditched the Dr. Blake stuff and relied heavily on Loki and for some reason fans really responded to Middleston's performance. So as origins go it was good enough to introduce the both of them.

The cop out that they used as to y Cap 1 had whack action was that he just got the serum and ain't know how to fight yet. Between Cap 1 and 2 dude trained his *** off to become a beast of a fighter that we saw in Cap 2.

That montage was sooooooooo disappointing

Hmmmm... i agree. I guess both movies could've been a lot better.

IM2 is garbage juice. At lease IM3 had some funny moments. There's literally only one moment from IM2 I liked and that's the briefcase scene. I've grown to like Cheadle in the role, but he looks like he got hella old since he first took the role.

Cheadle been old as dirt

I chuckle everytime i see him in Colors lol

Im2 and 3 are the only real disappointments to me.. You could easily see there were better movies there to be made

I guess you could say that for cap 1 and the two Thor movies too.. But I just especially feel that about those two movies, like I'll watch pieces of both when I see them on and think when this went wrong in the drawing room

They should have just made whiplash Crimson Dynamo, instead of combining the characters.. Make him actually seem like a legit threat, other than a dude you know would get blasted if ironman just stepped back like 15 feet

Then the end sequence was cool up til he had to actually fight dude

And IM3.. Dude gives out his address.. He has all those suits.. And does nada

I would have rathered they found some way to lock tony out of his own network or some shhh.. Maybe incorporate hydra.. Or use AIM more (maybe MODOK).. And the only suit tony can access is the mark 42, which clearly is just in a the design stage

I just need more than just, whenever he has access to a computer or telephone to access his home network.. He can call in the house party protocol and shut these dudes down

Nobody wanna see that Donald Blake ****.

Yea all that technology, being IM and yet he doesn't even have some kind of a protection/shield for his house :lol

He also can control those suits with a simple gadget. Like ****.. this is what i paid for.. Tony stark Movie

I know some people like the twist with the Mandarin but man.. all that build up for nothing.

Pots becoming whatever she was then actually defeated the villain. They wasted all those suits IMO

Literally the worst movie i have ever seen. MCU or not. I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking performances and **** but at least treat the viewers with some IQ

Rant over.

I went into First Avenger expecting it to suck, especially as i'm not even a fan of Cap as a character and have always found him to be fairly boring on the comics when on his own. I was extremely surprised to find it to be just as good as the other movies had been. And I mostly felt the same about Thor. Felt Marvel would botch it, yet I thought it was great. Both worked as origin stories for me, and then had even better sequels.

Shame the same can't be said for Iron Man. :{ 2 I can let slide, but 3 was trash, worst film in the MCU by far.

All the scenes with Thor & Loki >>>>>>>>>>>> anything in the IM sequels.

Yet the best scene between the two wasn't even in the movie :lol And it makes everything that comes after that much better

TFA gets a bad rap in here but it's a solid movie and probably the most underrated marvel movie imo. It's my 3rd fav movie of phase 1 after the usual suspects of IM1 and TA.

I almost, kinda want.

Even if I wanted it, it'd probably be a ***** to get, I bet

*edit

No release in USA? Only available in China, HK and Korea? Yikes

I was in the theater livid at IM3 :{

I don't kill IM3 like a lot of people do, it did let me down, sure, but I "kiiiiiiiiiiiinda" got why they were tweaking with some things. But when they had this dude, worth billions, with an indestrucible suit, running around in a hoody with some water balloons for weapons, against a bunch of dudes with automatic weapons, that just pissed me off. :lol

I'd sleep in that damn suit. Shower in it, whatever. You're untouchable with that thing, you have 57 different ones to play with, and you in converse and zip ups. :rolleyes

also on IM3.. how the hell is the thing that fails is the battery?

considering the focus of the previous movies.. making the arc reactors in the 1st film, importance of his power source in avengers and creating a new element in IM2

and then they use a car battery to power it up

like I could understand if the technology just wasn't finished.. or the suit wasn't really weaponized.. something

And the arc reactor is so small and compact that he could pack a handful of them in each suit and it would be powered up for a lifetime.

I'm with you on this. 100 percent. I will never, ever, EVER understand why dude felt the need to invade enemy ground with a hoodie and sneakers. I get that he needed stealth, but surely one of his suits could've had stealth mode? And then he gets caught and ends up summoning his suit anyway.. smh

And I hated how he just needed the one suit to help fend off an alien invasion but he needed a whole army of suits to beat a much smaller group of villains in IM3. And the suits dropped like flies, like they were made of paper :lol

And then for so many movies they make it seem like the arc reactor is the only way to keep the bullets from his heart, but then in the end of IM3, he gets the surgery done to remove the bullets

That movie is dead to me

I love how AoU just ignored everything from IM3 :lol

The biggest crime of IM3 was the Mandrian, that is supposed to be Stark's Joker and they made him a giant Joke..... :{

I don't know why but I misread IM3 as MI3 and was like what the **** are yall talking about? :lol What suit? I know I confused the two cuz I just re-watched MI3 last night. EDIT - Plus I'm I was thinking I was in the film/tv thread going off CP's post.

IM3 is what it is at this point. I can understand it being disappointing to ppl especially coming off of Avengers but I know I was just hoping they wouldn't give me another IM2. To me that was the real stinker of IM movies and while IM3 was lacking I enjoyed it for the most part. I just know that they'll never be able to capture the greatness they bottled and pretty much lucked out on with IM1. There's been a shift now to how great the Cap movies are now anyway. IM is now being used as that cool guest appearance/cameo that lets fans know things are on a different level. Similar to how Hulk is only in Avenger flicks.

Like I said I'm not a big Thor fan. So it's all the same "****" to me. I'm just commenting on what approach they went with.

:lol @ calling it **** though. I'm sure plenty Thor fans and Stan Lee would disagree.

From the moment where Stark starts dancing before suiting up for the first time (Mark 42), I knew it was going to be a bad movie. Which was shortly confirmed when he got the face plate on and said "I'm the best."

IM3 is probably the biggest let down I've experienced for a movie I was excited for. (Spider-man 3 was even better)

On the side note, is Pepper Potts running Stark Industries with extremis powers?

:lol She's running Stark Industries for the most part but not with the powers. As noted at the end Tony said he'd have to cure her cuz if you use it too much you'll just blow up and die like the rest.
