GOTG2 clip and trailer description

The clip features Yondu, Rocket, and Baby Groot (who looks like a toddler version of the twig at the end of Guardians) imprisoned by the Ravagers. The Ravagers mistake Groot for a harmless twig that is “too cute” to kill. Yondu and Rocket then proceed to have Groot fetch them Yondu’s head fin (which controls his remote arrow) but Groot routinely fetches the wrong thing (including a severed finger and an office desk).
Once Groot succeeds in reuniting Yondu with his fin, Yondu uses the arrow to kill the ravagers (a LOT of Ravegers) and escape the ship.
Last up, Groot gets revenge (imagine a running and screaming six inch tall Groot in a jumpsuit) on a guard that wanted to poke his eye out earlier in the clip.

The trailer opens with the Guardians on top of an alien skyscraper – awaiting an inter-dimensional beast they have been hired to kill. Gamora is holding an alien rifle – which surprises Quill (who assumes swords are her go-to weapon). Zamora then chastises Quill for thinking she’d try to take-on an inter-dimensional alien with a sword. The scene ends with the alien creature appearing in the sky.
Throughout the trailer, Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” is played.
The rest of the trailer is a sizzle reel of fun shots (and hat tips to the original film). Each of the characters get a quick spotlight moment:

Star-Lord is shown gearing up for battle (his helmet re-materializing over his face) and blasting off.
Gamora is shown leaping at that inter-dimensial creature and stabbing it with… her sword (maybe the rifle wasn’t the best choice after all).
Rocket is shown once again spinning in circles firing guns – this time with Groot on his shoulder.
Drax is shown standing on an alien planet looking up and saying: “Screw Spaceships” (that’s a metaphor) and then, in a different shot, stabbing an organic looking wall repeatedly.
New Guardian, Mantis, is introduced to the team.
Ego (Kurt Russell’s character) is revealed as Star-Lord’s father. Explaining that, before Peter Quill was born, he took human form and met Quill’s mother. Drax questions if Ego’s human form includes a penis, to which Ego replies: “Yes, Drax. I do have a penis. A pretty good one too.”

Spiderman trailer description

The trailer opens with an amusing montage set to Joan Jett’s “Bad Reputation,” showing all of the Avengers’ (including Stephen Strange) high school yearbook portraits to illustrate that all heroes have a beginning. It then cuts to Midtown High to provide a breakdown of Peter Parker’s day. In addition to attending classes and admiring cute girls from a distance, he’s also working hard on maintaining his crime fighting lifestyle. There’s funny bits of comedy when Parker is watching a YouTube video of his battle against Giant Man in Civil War during a science seminar, and when he’s mixing a new web fluid formula at school.

Thor Ragnarok trailer description

Starting things off, the studio clearly heard the complaints or questions about why the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe could be split down the middle without either Thor or Bruce Banner even weighing in on the matter. A short comedy sketch filmed just for those in attendance promised to “reveal” what the characters were up to while Civil War raged, but instead returned to the fish-out-of-water approach to the first Thor film. While Thor talked his roommate into sending “electronic mail” to both Cap and Tony Stark in hopes of being recruited, he revealed that he’d been spending his time off investigating their new enemy, Thanos (who “is purple” and “likes sitting”).

Once the comedy bits subsided, it was mainly concept artwork and pre-vis footage of the Hulk in his familiar armor. The actual filmed footage was a flurry of attacks and lightning-summoning from Thor himself, capped off with two shots that will get fans talking. First, a sequence in which Thor and Hulk (in armor) find themselves inside a massive gladiator arena, standing opposed, and rushing to slam into the other and begin combat. The two were already shown at odds in The Avengers, but there’s clearly more at stake in this showdown.

The assortment of shots also included a look at Hela (Cate Blanchett) in a predictably horned and intimidating headdress, but the final shot is the one that fans will keep in their minds over the coming weeks and months, featuring the presumed ‘big bad’ villain of the film: Surtur, the massive fire giant who, in the comics, actually brought about Ragnarok (the destruction of Asgard).

But things have changed for the film: this time around, it won’t just be Thor that Surtur emerges from his home realm of the fire-licked Muspelheim to do battle with – it’s the Hulk seen leaping towards him, hammer in hand.
