In this day and age a mix of 2 is best. Building sets and practical effects do a lot for not making green screen acting so blatant.
Hopefully this is a sign that they learned from the mistakes of the first two films. Shiny golden Asgard was meh in the first film.

The minute you even place Superman Returns on a list of best superhero movies you've lost me forever. Film was straight trash, one of the worst superhero films in history. There's a reason we had to reboot that franchise right after it. 
Punisher War Zone better than Iron Man, Days of Future Past, and Captain America Civil War :x Dark Knight Rises below X2 :x :x Whoever made this list might need to be shot.
Then there's Dormammu, Umar (Dormammu's sister), Baron Mordo (think heel turn like Sinestro), a bunch of other demon lords of hell like Beelzebub, Dracula (although in the comics he magically wiped most out), Blackheart, Morgan le Fay, Cthon, etc.
