Don’t think access to characters should be a problem or legit excuse.. like too much of the main MCU and Disney+, it’s what they did with the characters

I feel like Marvel Animation and the MCU is to Marvel as the Camaro and the Corvette is to Chevy, respectively. They’re not going to let the Camaro out do the Corvette. There was that one time but never again.

But there were lots of rumors going around that Feige and company was withholding characters they wanted to use because they supposedly had bigger plans for them in the live action MCU. This was also dating back to season 1 and 2. It’s been an ongoing thing. That’s going to play a big part in that. X-men ‘97 shouldn’t have that restraint based off of season 1.

Just shows their limitations when they were given access to all the characters that were present in season 1

And all that says to me is that once given X-men 97 they won’t really explore the space with those characters.. in season 1 we got bastion.. whoever was actually responsible for that and the execution of that concept is the one who should be given more characters

Gunn is a perfect example of maximizing what ya got

I mean I get the studio setting limitations because of things they may want to do and characters they may want to use

But what if had a ton at there disposal, literally more than the Marvel studios had to work with when it got started

But with any of these projects, who you allow to run it.. there is a reason blade 2 and the first 2 hellboy movies were so good and why gunn’s projects work


I can’t remember the specifics but I remember watching something at some point and the justice league animated show had limitations on what villians could be used and obviously that didn’t stop them creatively
