I'm finally watching this documentary on A Tribe Called Quest (Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest) and I'm really enjoying the insight on Tribe and just the rap scene in general at that time. Name some of your favorites, genre doesn't matter.

Trailers:

Saw this biographical movie on Ian Curtis and Joy Division last year. Had my attention from start to finish.

Pearl Jam Twenty
Anvil: The Story of Anvil
Searching For Sugar Man
Fearless Freaks
I Am Trying to Break You Heart: A Film About Wilco
Don't Look Back
Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten

Definitely agree with Fela Kuti Music Is The Weapon & Joe Strummer The Future is Unwritten. I'd also add Ice T's The Art of Rap, Thelonious Monk: Straight, No Chaser, Chet Baker Let's Get Lost, It Might Get Loud (ft. Jimmy Page, The Edge, & Jack White), Marley, Stop Making Sense (Talking Heads), Style Wars (more about graffiti), & Made of Stone (The Stone Roses)... I want to watch LCD Soundsystem's Shut Up & Play The Hits but I haven't seen it yet...

Forgot to mention this doc... It's not so much about music but about "punk" rock musicians becoming fathers....
