Sorry if this has been posted before, but was wondering if anyone knew what BW stood for when it comes to Air Max BW. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies. I never knew it stood for that. Can anyone explain or give me a history lesson as to why it is Big Window.

BW is going to be an obsolete term soon if this shoe gets the same treatment that our beloved 95 has received.

RIP real air units

110% wrong. This switch was already made 4-5 years ago, and all BWs made since then have had the nitrogen version of the Airsole.

Phil wanted a "bigger window" to see the Air unit, so Tinker and the other designers obliged.

Not too much to it, but that is the history.

what are you talking about?

. Nitrogen filled units aresmaller than traditional air units. at the molecular level, the nitrogen needs to be housed in a smaller area to be stable.
JMKicks is 110% right

no, what he's saying is if you haven't complained about the new bubble already on the BW's, it won't be changing anytime soon asstated earlier, unless the tech in the air pockets change.

If it took this long to say something, it's not that major and the name stands...that's what he was trying to get across I believe.

Don't try and get in a scientific pissing match with me, son. There's so much wrong with your thinking that I hardly know where to begin.

Thankfully, I've already posted a ton of information on NT that answers this question, among others. Start by reading this.

Then, read here, here and here.

After that, I'd be happy to discuss it further with you if you have more questions.
