Ironically Vince Staples came to my mind lol. More specifically a certain quote from an interview.

Lee "Scratch" Perry - Kentucky Skank

Had some rice & peas with curry chicken so I'm feelin' a little Irie this afternoon... Lee Perry was so ahead of his time. Quite as it's kept, he's a godfather of punk. A lot of the Brit punk rockers listened to a lot of him in those early days. Plus he's a massive influence on one of my heros, Don Letts.

Al Brown - Here I Am

Kendrick Lamar - Love

Congrats to Kendrick on winning the Pulitzer! Very, very, very well deserved!

Nas - One Love

Arguably the greatest hip hop album of all time celebrated it's 23rd anniversary yesterday. I thought about this as I read Kendrick won the Pulizter bcs back in the day, I thought Nas deserved such accolades like this in addition to Grammys which he never got. There are a lot of great tracks on this album but this one by Tip is my fav being as though I'm a big ATCQ fan...
