I'm 29. I'm Canadian, and I spent a lot of time watching Rap City on MuchMusic when I was a child in the late '90s/early 2000s - Choclair, Saukrates, Maestro, Kardinal Offishall, Point Blank, Rascalz, Tara Chase, Jelleestone, etc. One of my cousins (now in his 40s) often played '90s hip hop around me as well, which is probably a part of why I got into it as a teenager.
