I've had avg for two years, I think its worked better than the norton service I had been paying for. for two years.

Microsoft Security Essentials had some good reviews and I downloaded it a few days ago... so far so good...

I would be careful of microsoft security essentials along with surfing NT with it...I got a virus from NT possibly late last year and the virus was pretending it was microsoft security essential telling me I needed to download an update so that it could get rid of the threat....luckily I didnt and I went with what other NT'ers suggested, Malewarebytes and it got rid of it.
Right now all I use is Malwarebytes and Ad-aware.
I heard good things about AVG and Avira.
