I put it on as background noise while on lunch. It's brutal to pay attention too.
You hit the nail on the head. 'Ish is background 'noise' that you have on mute as you do household chores, etc...

I can remember watching SC back in the day and they'd spend most of the show doing highlights and showing you actual stats...like stat lines for the top 3-5 players on each teams.
People refuse to think for themselves these days. Sheep mentality is rampantESPN went the way of where the rest of 24hr cable news did. Talking heads yelling at and giving each other (and you) their opinions instead of giving you the stats and facts and letting you think for yourself.
The constant hypocrisy and recycling of topics is pretty whack as well. They killed Crabtree when he got his chain snatched, it was all jokes, but when he swung on Talib a year later for the same **** all of sudden its all about sportsmanship and respect. Saw the exact same thing happen with Terrele Pryor from the ********/Raiders joint pratice, nothing but jokes but let him swing off and all of a sudden we would hear he should be suspended. Their MMA takes are also pretty ****ing bad.
How many times do we need First Take to debate if LeBron is better than MJ. The host have their opinions pretty clear on the subject yet they talk about it almost weekly
That would make sense if they had a dude like that guy from Fox who cant keep Lebron name out of his mouth. The majority of the talking heads at the network dont feel like that though. It always the same people who bring the conversation up too. Stepehen A Smith has legit said no like 7 different times, their is no point in bringing that **** to First TakeI think ESPN feels like they didn't fully cash in on the Jordan era so they're trying to make up for it with riding Lebron.
Laura Rutledge is nice to look at right now and her eyes have a twinkle in it anytime she’s talking to a brotha. Her husband is in trouble...
All the sports networks went political and alienated half the country, while simultaneously getting murdered by the internet.

Fixed.
I expect politics to be involved. The current climate makes it impossible for them not to be. I just said half the country isnt feeling it. I dont speak for them .I disagree
How do you expect to not have politics involved? They aren't supposed to talk about Colin? Not supposed to respond to the president?
If anything politicians are using sports as a cover from real issues.
Half the country was alienated already and will be either way. People were upset at Obama for picking the NCAA tournament.
but zion dunked from the free throw line in practice

Wasnt it on Sportscenter when the one guy said just him making it last year was as good as a championship? Not bringing that convo in here but come on manlebald losing in the finals again and getting swept had espn fools saying that made him the greatest ever. Made no damn sense.
