2000-2004 were cool for Nike Shox but I think the Shox era will die out or discontinued in about 1-2 years from now. Nike seem to not put any real effort intoimproving the shox line since . Every recent shox releases were craps and usually end up at outlet for 29.99. VC is the only star that wore shox nowadays andhe doesn't even have his own sig anymore. Nike should end their Shox line and focus on Lunar Foam or new technology

i want to see the air-shox from the Shox Experience expanded upon.

i can just imagine a bball shoe with air-shox in the heel and visible air max in the forefoot...visually it'd be

I like shox running shoes they are a dope casual shoe. The b-ball one's though that's a different story.

look at vince carter and jermaine o'neals careers while wearing shox, theyre just horrible basketball shoes. At some point you gotta look at whats workingn whats not, n shox for basketball just dont work, theyre not even that great for running.

i got to get a pair soon if that was the case, i'm probably one of the few here who have never owned a nike shox pair

what about their careers? are you trying to use large scale success to support your argument against shox?

and if you're insinuating that the shox cause injury then you're wrong.

is tmac currently wearing shox? grant hill always wore shox, no actually he didnt. how about chris webber? he was a shox guy.......nope that's not correcteither.

you have no validity to your statement.

I don't see the shox line dying, I work in an Factory store and whenever we get shox in the running or training line they range in price from $69.99 to$109.99 and they sell out completely within a week at the longest. Then when we don't have them in the store we get asked 20 to 30 times a day where theshox are. People have it in there head that shox are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I myself can't stand shox, I am an AIR man. I have 215 pairs of shoes and not one of them is a shox.

IMHO the Shox technology has never been that great of a technology. Any running shoe with Shox was always gimmicky, to me,
and there is and always was better technology for a person that took running seriously.
Basketball shoes were the same way. I like the feel of air cushioning over Shox and, although aesthetically pleasing to some, the technology
never seemed to be that innovative. On the same note, Nike hasn't done a lot to improve the Shox until recently with the Experience.
With that said, though, people will buy them because of looks and because they have a Swoosh on the side. I have tried them and would rather
spend my money on an Asics or Mizuno for running, and would never buy a Shox bball shoe.

Stop churning out new Shox Turbo runners every 5 months and things may continue to okay with the line for the future..

i tested a shoe that was a basketball shoe with air shox a couple years ago.

it still hasn't released yet, though.

Shox are still strong. A lot of college players use em (Elites, Elite IIs). The Gamers are worn by VC, Ak-47, Memo, Brad Miller and Tayshaun, so theydefinitely still prefer Shox. The Shox Visions are coming out in the Summer/fAll and I imagine that they will be the playoff shoes of VC et al if they make it.

as soon as Nike makes a better shoe that is equally-well marketed and sells for around $100 that white people like.

I love Shox. Mostly for aesthetic reasons, rather than performance. I just like their unique look. Most Shox runners are pretty comfortable too (R4s, NZs, TLs,and Turb OH especially).

imo most of them look pretty simliar.

i remember mad people being disappointed when they didnt actually say "boing"

my boy had these

and i asked him if he could feel the shox, and he said "no".

and he's a pretty big dude. prolly 5'4 pushin 300.

from that moment on i knew that they was whack.

i bought these just to buy a shox basketball shoe. and i havent worn them in years. they sit in my collection without laces.

I have heard from an inside source that Lunaracer/Lunar Trainers will replace the shox in a way that Nike plans Lunar technology to appeal to the samecustomers who bought shox all these years. They will be making many, many color combinations for Lunar's just like they did with the Shox. I personally amlooking forward to it

No matter how many shox there are..they will continuously appeal to the non-sneaker head crowd..just based upon their performance *iffy at bestimo*..and their looks..

I do like the experiment with the shox experience+..they are very nice to look at..and i do like the comfort level..i just can't get into the shox part ofthe sneaker hence why i stick to air max..

I hope your "inside source" doesn't work in any footwear category or they will be out of a job soon. Explain to them that lunar foam is on thepolar opposite end of the cushioning spectrum from SHOX. The components in SHOX (thermoplastic plates and rubber columns) were engineered for bigger, heavierathletes. Lunar foam is intended for ultra-lightweight athletes and is crushed, flattened, and bottomed out when used for sports involving intense downwardforce (especially basketball.)

can you explain why nike would release lunar foam, which only lasts about 20 hours?
