Twins make up about 2% of the world's population.

My brother is one minute older than me. We're fraternal (i.e. non-identical).

Anyone else?

actually it's not that dumb of a question. There are fraternal twins that look just about identical but have differences that make them fraternal twinsinstead of identical. Like Mary Kate and Ashley olsen. They look identical but they are fraternal twins

actually it's not that dumb of a question. There are fraternal twins that look just about identical but have differences that make them fraternal twins instead of identical. Like Mary Kate and Ashley olsen. They look identical but they are fraternal twins

yeah, identical doesn't technically mean "twins that look alike". usually this IS the case, though, because the twins came from a single egg.

but like the person above said, fraternal twins can often look pretty similar.

my brother and i, however, look nothing alike. you wouldn't even know we were brothers, much less twins, if you saw us standing next to each other.

so fraternal twins are actually brother/sister or brother/brother but they just happen to be born on the same day. because its two sperms and twoeggs instead of one sperm and one egg that split, right?
