Like someone else stated ... Cole is internet known even with radio play hes still not connecting duke got no charisma/appeal
Big Sean didnt fail. Marvin & Chard is getting radio play now = another hit and "I do it" is a banger but the Album is cheesy
Wale can spit but somethin bout duke i cant really listen to him that long unless im waitn on a ross verse.

I really dont get the NT hate for Wale. Dude really does have good lyricism and content deep enough to appeal to the underground and the light in his music to appeal to the masses. I think the move to MMG allows him to bring his music to the right audience without having to fully "sell-out".
The comment of Cole only being known on the internet is kinda ingnorant. He is getting his play more and more. I expect his sales to be close or maybe even with Wale. What may take him farther is he appeals more to the ladies than Wale.
Ive tried to mess with Big Sean. I like a few of his songs but he isnt that deep. He's dope in his own right but in the end its his money, his women, his clothes. He does have some bagers for sure, just needs to broaden the horizons a bit. I prolly might have missed some of his tracks that might change my mind though.

i'm actually surprised Big Sean sold as much as he did. BoB had way bigger hits and did about the same (even though he eventually went gold). i'll admit i underestimated his fanbase.
but i don't see the album ever going gold. it just doesn't have the crossover power. My Last is a banger on hip hop stations, but at the end of the day it's just another flash-in-the-pan summer song.

how can u say nobody knows him when 1. Tour with Jay all over the country 2. Tour with Rihanna all over the country 3. Spots at musical festivals... I mean I could keep going

J Cole makes great music, and eventually it will spread. His hype isn't huge like a 50cent or Drake, but his lyrical content and musical production will allow him to stay in the game long, and eventually will be a mainstream star (ala a Weezy - he wasn't huge at first, and didn't make it real big until the Carter 3).
