damn shame that these 2 goobers are being hailed as the voices of NY..

Action Bronson is alot more iller than these dudes, but he's not even trying to do the commercial thing, he's sticking to making quality music instead of just pumping out garbage.

Ghostface is still alive too.

this is the NY ish im bumping at the moment..

who cares yo

French and ASAP are popping because thats what the majority wants to hear

Just got back from his free show in Brooklyn. If it makes you feel any better, ninja, the venue housed 200 people max and was in Williamsburg aka hipster heaven.

At this point, you've reached troll status and I see no reason not to feed you.

Ask j-Hood, Max, Maino, Uncle Murda and the long chapters of other rappers who had the "Streets" on lock how that goes for them. Rocky already made it and he's going to continue to prosper by putting his ****** on slowly. This ain't last year anyone btwn the ages of 18-30 know who A$ap Rocky is & nothing about him sounds like anything else that's out. He's one of the few who has commercial appeal w/o making commercial music (****** problems & fashion killa are the only two comercial songs on the entire album)

ninjahood looking like Karl Rove at Fox News Headquarters on Election Night 2012.
sike.

its my fault for forgetting that da music section thinks da current NYC is dead and da streets dont dictate whats hot.

these same streets is ones that picked, joey badass, troy ave, action bronson, vado, etc.

asap felt "forced" on NYCers, its wasn't a organic buzz.

why do you think that ebro comment was SO BIG? because New Yorkers felt for a while da cats they were

rooting for wasn't getting fair looks at da radio station.
This ***** dropped 20 mixtapes and still doesn't dropped a album smh
he didn't wanna drop a album for a long time...there's a interview where basically said he was weary of labels

because he saw what was happening from his point of view running cocaine city, its basically da same ish gucci mane feels like

right now.

Listen champ, I got no problem with you liking/defending/believing in French Montana, more power to you.  What I and others take issue with if you CLEARLY not looking at the facts that have been presented on the table and still choosing French over A$AP as the answer to the question that you poised to the public.

For me, I don't even have a horse in the race because currently I'm not in NYC and truth be told I think both dudes are average at best but that's neither here nor there.  The fact of the matter is by evidence of tour schedules and venues, number of tour dates, and an actual album release, the clear cut answer as to who is the hottest NYC rapper is A$AP.  Again, it's not "who is the hottest rapper IN NYC", but rather "who is the hottest NYC rapper" from the 2 names mentioned.  You dug your own hole with the question and wording that you chose, and that's on you.

French Montana been dropping mixtapes since 2007 and still hasn't been able to get an album out to the folks.  He's been doing the same thing since back when, which means he's treadmill status as far as I'm concerned, and you already know my thoughts on being treadmill status don't you champ.

^Your post was on point except for that last part. French is far from treadmill status right now. He's gotten hot off of his mixtapes and his album is coming out before the summer.

Aight, thank you for the head up on that and I take back the treadmill status point.  Didn't know he had an album coming out this summer.
