Yeah, she's made great progress in the past 4-5 years as a person and as a mother.

That’s good news especially for the kids. I hope she stays at it at least until they’re grown.
Mine just had a visit from Child Protective Service and the guy is not messing around with her. He already checked her from the get go so her lies and manipulation isn’t gonna work.
CPS Man: “How old are you?”
She said : “I’m 39”
CPS Man: “You’re 39 and you act like a teen. What the hell is wrong with you?”

The reason I refuse to date women with kids from a previous relationship is the potential troubles that don't make it worthwhile to be involved with a broken home scenario.
A potential disagreement or conflict can arise if the father of the kid doesn't approve of another man being around his kid, especially if he's still supporting the kid despite no longer being with the mother.
Two examples of conflicts escalating into physical altercations come to mind. Like the incident when Halle Berry's then-boyfriend beat the
out of her ex-boyfriend/daughter's father.
And that incident when Matt Barnes rushed out to his ex-wife's residency to attack Derek Fisher because his kids felt very uncomfortable with him around.
A loser and failure who I dealt with a long time ago opted to mess around with a co-worker who had kids. He admitted he was fearful of the ex-boyfriend/father of the kids because he had gang ties. I'm not sure if he was a former or active gang member at that time. That fool was clearly desperate and dumb for involving himself in that situation if he feared for his safety.
But there's a possibility relationships with women with kids can work if the woman, ex-boyfriend and current boyfriend are mature enough to sit down together and talk it out to come to an understanding.
