Wifi experts, need help on speed issues

All of a sudden my 5ghz network went from 30-35 mbps to 1.5-2 mbps. Switched to 2.4 and speeds greatly improved to 20 mbps.

I know 5ghz doesn't penetrate walls as well but it was always faster and more reliable than my 2.4ghz network.

I've reset the router a few times and still no change in speeds. Can anyone explain the sudden drastic drop in speed or know of any ways to bring it back up to speed?

Mines would always drop in speed had to restart it everytime. End up replacing the router. Been all gravy.

If you have an android device download wi fi analyzer it lets you find out if you're on a crowded channel.

I tried 2 diff wifi analyzer apps and couldn't really figure them out.

I changed the channel on the 5ghz network from 153 to 40 and it worked great. Got 32mbps
