I've been looking at phones on t-mobile and the nokia lumia 710 is looking appealing
Can anybody tell me of their windows phone experience?

Very simple UI which is extremely smooth, but doesn't have as many features and apps as iOS and Android. It's perfect for people who don't want to mess with their devices and just need it for email and phone use. It has some pretty good Facebook and Twitter integration as well.

loved my windows phone. had the htc hd7. very smooth. lacks apps though

^^^ still have my hd7 and i love the os...lack of apps doesnt bother me too much

im happy with the phone and dont plan on getting a new one any time soon

I don't have much desire for apps so this phone for free sounds great
web browsing, music apps, pretty much it

Can anybody recommend some apps?

It does have the best looking UI.  I tried to copy the interface for my android but failed miserably.

I have the HTC HD7 for tmobile. Great phone, big screen, awesome interface, only problem is that it's easy mess up. I dropped mine once on the floor, and now whenever I press the lock button, the screen glitches.

Launcher 7 x Windows Phone 7 Icon Pack (google it.) Got me something like:

I stopped using it though. Prefer vanilla android.

As for WP7 in general...Mango is a great OS. It's lacking because it doesn't have many developers, but it's a great platform that I hope will expand towards the future.

It's still in it's infant stages so I can't wait to see what it will be like in a year or two. Nokia almost always makes great quality phones as well. Just make sure you take a trip to a store to try it out before you commit to it.

HD7 here. No complaints

I been messin with Windows phone..
all you android/Iphone users are sheep...

thinking of getting one when the contract comes up. They auto upgrade all phones with new os on RD so there is none of the android crap.

UI is amazingly smooth. better than iphone/android.

great for basic smartphone functions. very well put together phone IMO

go to att and get the htc titan II , or the lumia 900 which should release sometime this quarter

i haven't met anyone using windows phones yet but the lumia looks so clean. might have to try it out soon.

I LOVE my HTC Arrive. I had an old school windows mobile phone before this (a piece of garbage) so this was the first current smart phone I owned, so idk, it has all the apps I need, some pretty cool ones at that, and to say the UI is smooth is an understatement. Ive had my phone for almost a year and have NEVER had to reset it...EVER.

Ive owned an Android for a short time, n Ill say that WP7 is WAAAY better in my opinion, and theres something about owning a device that yo know is still growing...I do wish it had VPN support though.

There was one time my guys n I were trying to find a restaurant, so we were all on our phones looking up numbers... every time somebody would go "what about such n such", id already be on the phone with em...happened so much that they stopped to ask me how the hell I was gettin these numbers so fast...so that should give you an idea as to how much more efficient the UI is for finding what you need

Oh yea, it had MUCH better battery life than any android ive seen.

but phones are a personal preference, you should try it out first before you buy.
