I just don't know why so many people have to partner their fandom with hatred of some perceived adversary.

I mean, I hate Grayson Allen, but it is because he's a garbage human being and a dirty player, not because he is a rival to any team or player that I like. In my baseball fandom (Go, Cubs, Go!), I have a bias against anything having to do with the Brewers or Cardinals, but it's not a hatred.
