***WOMEN'S HOOPS THREAD*** CONGRATS, 38-0 S. Carolina! CONGRATS, NY LIBERTY!!

She's had way better vision than that. That was just a pass with some spin on it. Even A'ja saw it coming before she even threw it. But yeah, people who have vision will always have turnovers because some players simply are not ready and or don't think you can get a pass to them where they are. That video isn't anything mind-blowing. Caitlin is a rookie! Of course she's going to turn the ball over in bad ways, as she's been doing all year. Like CP3 said, if you don't have many turnovers playing point guard, that's actually a bad thing. Means you're not taking enough chances.

Some of her turnovers come from not being strong with the ball.
Some are carelessness and trying to do too much.
Some are badly thrown passes to bigs (like you don't throw passes to bigs on the move headed through the middle of the court when you know they're going to have to take multiple dribbles in traffic, and you don't throw passes at bigs on the move, at their feet).
Some are outlet passes thrown way too far for the person out on the break.

But her vision is so impressive not for the once in a quarter behind the back pass or seeing a big cutting without even being in good position to, it's her consistency making the right pass, over and over and over.

She gets the pick and roll, she splits the defenders and puts the ball right in the shooting pocket for the big.
She sees someone cutting toward the basket, it's a precise 2-hand pass that gets them right in stride for an easy finish.
She keeps her dribble alive (something she had issues with the first dozen games) and has such a feel for the game she can pass you open by working the ball into various areas and then sensing what defender is going where.

But just the possession-by-possession of pick and rolls or passing out of double teams consistently, with precise ball placement. With high passes that are perfect, with bounce passes that have both defenders drawn in but the ball gets the roller perfectly open for a J or a couple steps to a layup, that's what's damned impressive about her game.

Many NBA players have said it over the years - don't get tired of making the right play. And she's a testament to that, damn near on LeBron's level. And while much of the attention may be focused on her insane 3-point shooting ability and some of the passes are dependent on defenses freaking out at stopping her from getting a shot up, even when she's nowhere near the 3, she just has a fantastic ability to almost wait out the defense and see what's developing and where to get the ball.

Definitely don’t
I’m a hoops head. Been playin since forever. Love basketball so I talk it, think it, learn it, discuss it. There are coaches and refs on here its probably better suited for.

I’m bull****ting but that was a legit wall of text lol

EYE understand where you’re coming from tho. Big Cait has mastered the regular degular so the little things aren’t as impressive when looking at her total package of skills

THEY have learned about these Stockton assists

THEY were outraged when Kelsey Mitchell was named an All Star. Now THEY say Kelsey doesn’t get enough recognition.

THEY never talked about putting respect on Vandersloot bane before this season.

What’s the common denominator here?

Hopefully the big wigs realizes she’s Mark Jackson in this situation. And we need to find our Steve Kerr to truly unlock the potential of this 3 Headed Monster.

With the right moves this offseason, they win the next 3 easy.

That’s my hope. They have a generational talent and other elite young players on their team. They will waste their talent on this squad if Sides is the coach. She’s legit one of the worst coaches I’ve seen in any sport.
