i just read the link. i swear it's crap like this that makes me seriously want to stop banking with them. yes it's just $4.00 but them seeing that most people are fine and dandy with them taking $4.00 gives them the green light to charge more and more over time for something as pety as withdrawing money because they think most people will just accept it and continue to take the L.Originally Posted by trethousandgt

it was effective 2/2/2010 hence why i was never charged in the past, that is the official date that all non chase atm fee's would be charged. Bottom line is its just another way to take money from their customers. If you find that acceptable good luck, for all those that have any common sense its just a heads up
ah...so you were a WAMU customer...that's whyOriginally Posted by trethousandgt

I bank with Chase and have for a loooong time - yes, they hit you with cheap +%+ %#+$ like this, but thats just the way it is - its usually my own damn fault, but they are good about hooking me up and just scolding me like a parentOriginally Posted by trethousandgt
So I went to my local Chase bank to take out 20 bucks. The ATM was out of order and the next Chase bank was about 2 miles away, so I just bit the bullet and went to the 7 eleven around the block and was charged 2.50. So I'm checking out my account today, and Chase bank charged me 4.00 because I used an outside ATM! I called and they waved the fee but told me if I do it again that I would be charged the 4.00 and there would be no credit. In the event the machine is down I now have to call Chase, explain what is going on and then they will take it on a case by case basis. The ATM is usually down at least once every month to two months talk about bad business I am going to contact corporate since I've had other issues resolved that way, anyone have this issue with their banks?
