Wrestling Thread Jan/Feb | 2/29 RAW - The Undertaker Returns to Respond to The McMahons

- A Ticketmaster listing for a WWE RAW event at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena has the event name listed as “Monday Night Raw vs WWE”, leading to speculation as to what it could mean.
Interesting...Just checked ticketmaster.com and they don't have it written out like that. All it says is WWE Monday Night Raw...

A brand split would be an awful idea. There's not enough talent or star power to support it. Keep thing s as is and just utilized both shows differently so the mid careers get more exposure.

This.

This. If they already had multiple characters established for people to connect to, I'd be all for it. Otherwise, you'll get single branded ppvs full of Adam Rose vs R-Truth and Big Show vs Axel.

Not enough talent? they've been signing all the indy favorites for the past two years, they could definitely support 2 separate 2 hour shows. Just have one be raw and one be NXT. Smackdown can go away.

They have 50 plus guys on the main roster full time, and another 20plus NXT guys with characters, entrance music, etc already worked out and being used. plus like a dozen women on the main roster, and another 7 or 8 NXT women with characters, music, etc.

I feel like that's definitely enough to support 2 full time traveling brands

How many were on the roster at the height of the brand splits?

If you're integrating NXT, maybe but then you risk losing the development purpose.

If it's Smackfest and Raw, it's not gonna work.

You've got Ambrose, Owens, Reigns, Styles healthy and viable as headliners. You have jobbers like Ziggler and the Wyatt Family. Weak mid-carderers like Neville, Stardust, League of Nation turds. Couple of decent tag teams. There's just not enough healthy guys capable of stepping into the main event spotlight. Sure you can promote Balor and Zayn, but you're still too thin to go Smackfest and Raw.

Agreed Peeping Tom.

Most of WCW and ECW + WWE guys :lol I could be wrong, but it felt like a massive amount of talent initially, then gradually I was seeing Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly vs Rico and Charlie Haas

Been playing the hell out of 2k16 as of late...downloaded the legends DLC last night. Harlem Heat :smokin

But with all the guys they've recently signed to NXT being established Indy/Japan wrestlers they'll have enough people in the next couple months to do a brand split..Plus these dudes that are injured are going to be returning pretty soon..And we all know all Trips has to do is get Vince to crack open the check book and another 10-15 guys can be signed by SummerFest..

I think with any change to the current format would be a welcome change. Anything different at this point would be nice.
