Wrestling Thread July 11-18/WWE Live Draft July 19th/ WWE Champ is Who The Hell Knows

– Despite her main roster call-up, WWE officials still see Dana Brooke as very green. The main reason she was put with WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte was because of the Emma injury but officials also felt like she needed some of the veteran leadership she would get from The Flairs or even just Charlotte herself. It came down to putting Dana with Charlotte or Eva Marie.

– It’s interesting that Dean Ambrose won the WWE World Heavyweight Title last month as there had been a lot of negative backstage talk about him over the past few months. Going into the title change, there was a feeling that Ambrose had been “phoning it in” and some have commented that he hasn’t looked too good backstage after his matches. There was a lot of criticism over his recent feud with Chris Jericho as well.

-It’s been reported how WWE’s Mark Carrano, likely ordered by Triple H, had Reigns apologize to the locker room and on Twitter. With that said, multiple sources believe that Reigns’ status won’t change and that he’ll remain in the main event picture after the Triple Threat against Seth Rollins and WWE Champion Dean Ambrose at the July 24th Battleground pay-per-view. Vince McMahon is said to be focused on really keeping Reigns over before giving up on the experiment.

– We noted back in early May that Vince McMahon had issues with several WWE NXT call-ups, including still not being sold on Apollo Crews. Crews was praised for some of his in-ring work but there was negative talk about his personality not getting over. In an update, Crews recently picked up more bad heat after some blown spots in the ring. The May 23rd RAW match against Chris Jericho really didn’t go over well backstage and most of the blame was put on Crews.

– Top WWE officials, including Vince, are still interested in doing a feud with The Club vs. The Shield. Vince reportedly wants the team of AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson built up stronger before the feud and word is that Finn Balor’s introduction to the group may be a part of making them stronger. A source believes the current feud with Shield members Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose does not mean The Shield vs. The Club feud is nixed but it’ll be several months before they get back to that direction.

Yea, he will still be a face/tweener, especially since they're going to do a Shield VS The Club feud.
