Wrestling Thread Mar 10-23 | 3/17 RAW - Three Weeks Till WrestleMania XXX

Only thing I disagree with.  The titles lose their prestige if you change them too often.  Maybe, 3-4xs per year, but the WHC only gets changed 1-2xs per year.

I was about to post the same opinion..Changing titles frequently is what made them be meaningless to begin with..It's not impressive to me that Shovel, Cena, and Orton have all held the World title a dozen times a piece..

I think a thing that could make the IC/US title mean something, besides unifying them, is to have a main event guy hold one for a 5-6 month reign..Make them be proud to have that belt..Make them defend it every other week on tv..And then that belt will actually mean something in the eyes of the fans..

I was thinking awhile back that they should have Orton hold the IC belt and drop it to some up and comer, but I just have no faith in the booking at all. But I think the title length is less important to make the titles feel more important than it is for character development. It doesn't matter how long a reign is if you either have no character (or little character to connect with) (see: Kofi Kingston), or if you're not even giving the title tv time to defend (see: Ambrose). The titles may have changed multiple times years ago, but I knew exactly who Crash Holly, Steve Blackman, Al Snow, Val Venis and Rikishi were then.

^Yea. Word is Natalya VS Nikki Bella V Naomi for the title at WM 30.

:x :x :x :x :x......well, could be worse, it could be Brie

Aj got zero mass

And as such, im not sure why I want to roofie and kidnap her..

Basically. She has a flatback, but can arch like crazy. Would go to sleep in that.

i feel like the reason why there are 2 belts being carried around by or ton is because now that daniel bryan is gonna surely enter the main event at WM

they might have some sort of double pinfall and split the titles back up again...

I thought someone posted the reason for carrying the two belts was because they still want to sell the replica belts of the Big Gold. Never made sense to me how there was a World Champion and a WWE Champion and that being the wwe champ was higher than the world.

since getting back into wrestling in early 2012, my favorite match is still the TLC match between Ziggler and Cena. Im sure there have been better matches since, but this one made me a huge fan of ziggler. damn shame.

Unifying the belts would just cost more congestion IMO, you basically have everyone on the roster except like 5 guys that are available to feud over the IC and US title.

WWE just doesn't care about anything other than the WWE belt which is poor use of their roster since they only consider a handful of guys good enough to compete for it.

The shield needs a huge fallout with the worst being between Ambrose and Rollins sparking a long feud over the US title.

The best way to get some buzz for the IC would be to strip Big E(maybe fake an injury or something) of the belt and have a tournament for the title.

Cruiserweight title is even more niche than the US belt.

Morrison/Sheamus is probably my fav ladder match ever.

Not even lying. That match was incredible.

Word is that AJ is indeed being punished due to her relationship with Punk. WWE is trying to send a message to him.

Man...I shockingly have no recollection of this match, nor them even feuding :lol 2009-2012 is pretty much a blur to me anyway outside of Kofi/Dolph, Nexus, Mark Henry, Sheamus/Bryan, and Christian feuds

I think this needs to be the belt system..

From top title to bottom..

World Title-Defended once a month on tv with each month's defense flip flopped between Raw and Smackdown..With 1 of the following matches each year: 2 out of 3 Falls, Ironman match, Steel Cage, No Holds Barred or a 3 Way Dance..
IC Title-Defended twice a month..1 time on Raw and 1 time on Smackdown..
TV Title-Defended 4 times a month..2 on Raw and 2 on Smackdown..15 minute time limit..
Tag Title-Defended at least twice a month..
Cruiserweight Title-Defended 2-3 times a month..Weight limit of 220 lbs..15 minute time limit..

I feel like this would give each belt more prestige and give the fans something to look forward to each besides a title defense on the monthly ppv's..

It was at a TLC PPV... It was for #1 contendership... It was a great match, probably my personal favorite ladder match as well... It was wrestled so much unlike normal ladder matches.. I definitely recommend watching it...
