Naito a gimmick thief tho
Naito a poor man's La Sombra.
Which is actually pretty funny, because it doesn't seem like anybody else on the roster really sells at all.Omega seems too over sell at times my only complaint.
IN JAPAN, it seems pretty tough to have a westerner be a bigger star than what Okada looks to be. If we step out of Japan, I think fans are thinking otherwise. At the G1 USA special, Omega was THE guy, and I don't see how it's really debatable. As far as stars outside of the WWE being translate-able to that roster, Omega is the obvious answer by a landslide. To wrestling fans, I'd argue that Okada is a better wrestler and bigger star..And I'll say that Naito is a better wrestler and by the end of the year will be a bigger star (he's probably right behind Omega right now in terms of star power to wrestling fans)..
The same people that were watching TNA back then are the same people that are watching NJPW now. The "common fan", or as DC likes to say, the fat, beer-drinker in Oklahoma, was never watching TNA. They were WWE only. The IWC crowd that wants to watch more wrestling were the ones watching TNA, and now that TNA is basically a dumpster fire, they have shifted their sights to NJPW.I think if Kenny Omega went to WWE, he wouldn't be as big as AJ Styles. AJ had the benefit of being the top guy in TNA which was on free tv for American audiences.

Omega has his t-shirts in shopping malls across the country and they seem to be selling quite well. For a guy that isn't in the WWE, people seem to be quite aware of who he is.
Damn, shots fired @ ConcessionsNobleKane. My main point though is that the "majority of WWE fans" probably have the same level of knowledge of Omega as they did Styles. If you put him in the 2018 Rumble in Philly, 99% of that crowd is going to know who he is, and is going to go bat**** crazy, and will make him seem like a huge deal. The majority will catch on.So TNA = Baron Corbin?
Omega is the most mainstream performer in NJPW that could easily cross over into WWE. That still doesn't mean that the majority of WWE fans know who he is though. The ones buying up the BC merchadise from Hot Topic know what they want and where to get it. I don't think those are random purchases.
Also, from people I've met most didn't watch both WWE and TNA. It was one or the other. I doubt TNA fans are smart enough to understand NJPW.

They do own 'The Elite' likeness themselves, right? So they'd be able to fully use that, unlike 'Bullet Club'.Still would like to see Kenny in WWE at one point but also would be perfectly fine if he stayed in NJPW. Would be wild if him and the Bucks showed up together. The Elite invasion
