If WWE was smart they would keep the title on Orton until Survivor Series to give him a long reign which they haven't done for anyone over the past fewyears.

Jeff Hardy Booked After SSlam, Cena/Orton, More on PPV

Date Added: August 22, 2009
Story By: Brian Cantor
-- WWE.com is advertising a Jeff Hardy appearance for Tuesday, noting that fans can meet "Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Big Show, John Morrison, Eve and Layla" at Coldstone Creamery in Scottsdale, Arizona this Tuesday from 11:30am-1pm. Jimmy Hart, Tony Atlas and Sgt. Slaughter appear from 1-3pm.

This should not be taken as evidence that Hardy has decided to stay with WWE for the long term; though WWE may not book him for the show, the plan was for Hardy to remain available through this coming week's SmackDown! taping (Tuesday).

-- Roddy Piper has been doing local Los Angeles publicity for the Summerslam event; he appeared at the previously-reported kickoff party on Friday. A PWInsider.com report started speculation that Piper might appear on the Summerslam pay-per-view, but nothing was confirmed at press time.

-- In an interview with Joe McDonnell and Bob Berger, John Cena put over Sunday's pay-per-view as a "junior version of Wrestlemania" with "a truly star-studded card." He also put over his "legitimate" dislike for opponent Randy Orton. (Source: F4WOnline.com)

WWE Announcer Teases Summerslam Surprises, Kane/Taker

Date Added: August 22, 2009
Story By: Brian Cantor
-- In interviews with UK media outlets The Star and Nottingham Newspaper, WWE Superstar Kane put over fellow big man The Undertaker. Taker, set to return to WWE television very shortly, is headlining WWE's "Rest in Peace" tour in the United Kingdom this November.

Regarding Summerslam, in the Nottingham interview, Kane named Randy Orton vs. John Cena and Chris Jericho and Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme (written as "Prime Time") as the matches to watch.

-- Noting the numerous high-profile WWE names absent from the WWE Summerslam card, WWE announcer Jim Ross teased surprise appearances on the Sunday pay-per-view.

"Many young talents who have been doing well lately (Morison, Harts, Kofi, etc) are not officially on the card," wrote Ross in his latest blog. "Could that mean that some will make surprise cameos or even larger roles?"

He also expressed excitement about Shawn Michaels' in-ring return and hinted at a "spectacular presentation" for the DX duo.

Matt Says Jeff Hardy Will Stay With WWE, Batista, 7-11

Date Added: August 22, 2009
Story By: Tim Brown
-- From Matt Hardy's Twitter account (Thanks to Lucas): "Here's an update for the "sheets"-Jeff & I might not team again due to pursuing singles careers. And Jeff will be with WWE after Summerslam."

-- In addition to his picture being used by an Egyptian steroid dealing ring, a photo of Batista's body is also being used on some advertisements around the internet for a product to "get you ripped."

-- Richard writes: "Not sure if this is any indication of the popularity of these guys, but almost every time I've been in one of my local 7-11's (I go late at night) they are always completely out of the Kelly Kelly, Triple H and John Cena cups. Plenty of Edge and Undertaker cups left though."

Matt Hardy Teases Jeff's WWE Exit, TNA/WWE Ratings News

Story By: Brian Cantor
-- Ahead of Friday's WWE SmackDown! episode, of which the telecast is ongoing, Matt Hardy teased that it could be one of his final matches working alongside Jeff Hardy. "The Hardys team again in what could possibly be the last time ever-you never know what the future holds," Tweeted Hardy.

Jeff Hardy is expected to wrap his current WWE tenure either at WWE Summerslam or at next week's television tapings.

-- This week's TNA iMPACT! did a 1.2 rating, up from last week's low 1.05. Thursday's WWE Superstars did a 1.0, experiencing a 25% ratings improvement over last week's 0.8. (Source: PWInsider.com)

Hilarious .gif. I loved that commercial. BABIES!

I'm kind of amped for SummerFest. Anyone who has some streams later, you know what to do.

I will post my predictions in a few. Only looking toward the TLC match, tag team titles, ECW, and IC title match.

i have a weird feeling that Morrison could turn heel? or somehow get involved i nthe match leading to a winner because of him? i don't see a clean finishfor that TLC match ill post predictions in a bit also

Put Summerfest in the title, too.

Cuz it's gonna be a Summerfest tonight.

And SvR10 will be copped, FINALLY able to edit existing players attires and stuff. My wallet is taking some serious hits from gaming this year: alreadypurchased NCAA 10, Madden 10, got the anniversary edition of NBA 2K10 on pre-order, COD:MWF2, and now this

I'll probably be going to see Inglourious Basterds tonight so I'll either catch a match or two or watch the replay.

Might as well throw out the predictions

World Heavyweight Championship - TLC
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. CM Punk

Probably the easiest prediction of the night. Punk wins, the Hardy Party ends.

Prediction: CM Punk - new World Heavyweight Champion

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena

Orton needs to hold on to the belt till at least Survivor Series, Cena doesn't really need it. But please for the love of God...NO MORE FEUDING BETWEENTHESE GUYS!

Prediction: Randy Orton - Still WWE Champ

D-Generation X vs. Legacy

*does awkward in 2009 crotch chops* Yeah, DX reforms yet again to take on the Human Triforce aka Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr. No way DX loses here.

Prediction: HHH & HBK & HHH's nose, for ONE NIGHT ONLY!

Intercontinental Championship
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Honestly, Rey deserves a long reign with the IC Title after how they did him dirty when he was World Heavyweight Champ. Dolph will get it eventually, but nottonight.

Prediction: Rey Mysterio - still Intercontinental Champ.

Unified Tag Team Championship
Chris Jericho & Big Show (c) vs. Cryme Tyme

I know I will get stonefaced for this one, but I will honestly not be surprised if Cryme Tyme wins the titles here. I know they're not well liked on here, but they are still crazy over, can't deny that. On the other hand, considering Vince isn't really all that high on Shad...I won't be surprised ifthey don't win either.

Prediction: Definitely not whoever mashed up Jericho and Show's theme.

MVP vs. Jack Swagger

Swagger has been doing well since moving to RAW, and with MVP still in the doghouse most likely, we will see Jack pick up the win, via Gutwrench Bomb.

Prediction: Jack Thwagga

Kane vs. The Great Khali

Bathroom break match. It sucked at Wrestlemania 23, and it will suck now.

Prediction: Khali, who then proceeds to kiss a woman named Bertha.

ECW Championship
Christian (c) vs. William Regal

Truthfully, we haven't really had a heel ECW Title reign in a while..so Regal winning would be nice, but Christian should hold on to it a bit longer.

Prediction: Christian - Still ECW Champion
