Halo 4 was terrible and the worst out of the series... until I played 5.
But for the few games of 5 I played I thought it was better than 4.
The bloom and armor lock really made Reach suck to me.
Armor lock more so than bloom.
I now realize in every Halo since 3 that there is always some BS for bad players to escape being killed.
You get an enemy player down to one shot and...
Halo 3 > they throw out a bubble shield or that green smoke regen thing
Halo Reach > armor lock, sprint, that roll that the Dino's did
Halo 4 > sprint and other crap I don't remember
You know how they could make sprint work...
Make it so you can't sprint while being shot at and have to wait until you shield fully recharges until you can do so.
Also, if you die you have to wait like 5 seconds after spawning to be able to sprint because you can easily sprint back to a location and kill the person who just killed you because their shield is down.
Reach wasn't a bad game after all was said and done it's just that it was such a change from Halo 3 that most weren't ready for it, but I agree with Antidope Reach definitely still felt like Halo but H4 did not. It only had a Halo skin but wasn't Halo.
If I want my Halo fix I'll play MCC I was playing it today and the 10 or so games of Halo 3 that I played worked good.
Don't really care though because I'm not big on gaming for hours on end anymore and play casually.
Recently got into Destiny after having it for 2-3 months and it's not that bad I can pick up and play and do what I want and that's it. It does get repetitive, but if it isn't awarded game of the year I would be surprised. I think games like it, co-op, Destiny Borderlands will be the next big thing with all the leveling up and what not.
The PS2 gen was open world, GTA, Xbox360 it was FPS, and I think these FPS co-op leveling up games will be the next thing now... we'll see.
