Saw a couple of streams on Twitch, game looks like fun but I can't believe it doesn't have co-op multiplayer. They really dropped the ball with that IMO, added it to my Gamefly queue.
Gamefly also has the pre-order for $29.99.

Wait, how old are guys in here? I'm 34 and a lot of games had co-op back in the day especially these type of hack n slash games. Now with consoles basically requiring a internet connection, multiplayer should be a standard IMO.
